Ok why do mylot not count all of my topics like if I have written 293 topics and discussions then I go and post another topic and discussion you would think that the next one would be 294 but it don't it stays at 293 then I would write another one and it would count sometimes it don't count again, I mean what am I missing do they not count all of your topics or what is it because I am confused, can someone answer that question, and where is the official office of mylot, I see thats it 1 hr behind me in my state and that is usually Texas but I don't know I thought that I have read all of the fine print but maybe not.

This is not the response to your question as it has already been answered but may I confirm what has also been said here? You had a topic that talks about being consistent on myLot. If you don't comment back to your responders they will soon all disappear from your topics. Where is your consistency?

Why start another topic if you have not finished with a previous one? YOu wouldn't start an offline conversation before you had finished the first one would you? Well not on the phone anyway I have that particular topic still open and I was wondering whether you were ever going back to it

but here is the thing I have been responding to almost everyone that has been commenting on the topics that I write and topics that I don't write I rate other people topics and everything, so I don't know why its not showing I'm not sure wht else I am suppose to do.

Re-reading your response and the several above, it seems that the member perhaps would benefit from turning on some notifiers. At least the notifiers that the member received his responses. This way he won't miss any, if interested walking2010, you can view your preferences here and select which ones would be helpful for you: http://www.mylot.com/nr/editNotifications.aspx

The way it works is that you post a discussion and may earn something for posting it. Then: If you receive two responses, then you get a point. No earnings because you did not comment/type back. If you receive one response and you do comment to the response, you get one point and you earn. If you get several more responses, no points and not additional earnings, until you comment back to them. Has nothing to do with time of day, only if earnings prior to myLot midnight time for updating the next day.

Ok thank you for that I was just wondering why my counter was not going up everytime I wrote a discussion because I thought the counter counted everytime you post a topic and I do repsond to others discussions as well its not just for me I rate other people and everything so I do do my part but thank you for the comment though now I have a better out look

You are welcome and just wanted to add that there we have visibly seen two types of Lotters here: 1. Those that come here for the fun and activity, considering myLot's earnings to be simply a bonus. It is those who do well here as joining in and furthering discussions really adds up earnings. So it simply flows. 2. There are those that come here only for earnings, nothing wrong with it, but if earnings is a concern then the points should not be a factor. We do not earn for high points, and if those in this #2 would do like those in #1, they would get both higher points and earnings. Best of luck and do listen to veterans above and below me, I for one followed them all in my early membership here and it is because of them that I do well here. I am only a member here for a little over a year and high points and nice monthly earnings.

hi walking you have to get at least one or two responses then they count your disucssion.I am a yr late so don't know if you are even here. its said they you do not comment back to us who respond to your discussions and thats prettty rude not to and not thanks but a valid comment and dont you know you get paid well on your comments. we who give you responses. we get paid.you type you get paid,I type I get paid. so instead of worrrying about count worry about commeting back to us in our resoonses.

You haven't commented back on the last discussion of yours that I responded to! You can read the guidelines to figure out what that means to your activity counter and earnings. But if you continue not commenting back, people will start avoiding your topics.

I try to follow all rules though I find them very hard to remember. I have thus come up with something short to answer your question, just START, REPLY and COMMENT. You will see your number increase visibly. I am not the type who are so concerned about how the system works, but I know it will work as long as I follow the rules, so I just do accordingly. Hope this helps!

i sometimes find that as well.. i have two windows open and would comment on two discussions one straight after the other, and my number doesn't move.. but its just a little clitch.. it always does add up again.. you are aware that if you comment on a discussion and your number goes up, and then the discussion writer comments back, and you comment AGAIN, your number doesn't go up? .. you only get one "point" for the original comment left on the discussion? but sometimes the numbers are a little slow to come up, i have noticed that too.

also chicksdigscars if you have responded to a discussion that was deleted your count will go down because your response is deleted along with the deleted discussion this is not a glitch wither.
