first hair cut of your baby?

my baby boy is now 9 months old. i started to notice that he's scratching his head because of his hair. i was afraid to cut some of his hair because he's still curious in his age and he might not cooperate because of that. so i'm wondering, to all moms out there, at what age did you let your baby have their first hair cut? can you give me some tips and advices about it? thank you

My babies got there first hair cut on there first birthday. I would say just wait tell he turns one cause his skull is still soft and you don't want to hurt him. Just wash his hair every night he takes a bath. This might help with the scratching.

My oldest son now has 4 years. First cut we got at age of 1 year. I didnt want to do that because his hair was so soft and curvy but he is a boy and our dad insist on. As i heard from the doctors its not good to do that earlier.

My daughter was born with very thick hair almost shoulder length. So she had her first haircut when she was just 3 months old. Since my hubby's sister is a beautician she took her on her lap and very slowly cut her hair. My daughter luckily did not give us any trouble then.

our youngest son had his first hair cut a day before his first birthday. i can't say this is the right time or 9 months or any age of the baby, i guess it really depends to how he will react to the barber's scissor and comb, and so on.
