Kevin Bacon

Is it just me or is Kevin Bacon in every third major film released at the moment?! I mean, he disappeared for ages and then suddenly he's in the new X-Men, the brilliant Crazy, Stupid, Love, Elephant White and has a couple more lined up for next year! I hadn't seen him in anything for so long, I'd forgotten how cool he is as an actor - especially as a villain. Looks like the six degrees game will be running for a lot longer. Anyone else out there glad to see him back? Or noticed other long-absent actors suddenly reappearing like Travolta did after Pulp Fiction?

Kevin Bacon? I think I remember him in the movie, the Air Up There - was a researcher there who taught the people of the tribe to play basketball? That was a good movie at that time. I do like him too at Hollow Man. I mean Kevin really does try to let people see that he's a versatile actor - example is the Beauty Shop where he was cast as a top stylist in that area. I love the accent there! I can see a smile forming in my face right now just remembering how he did it! About other actors who should make a movie comeback is Kevin Costner? and Samuel Jackson.

Never been a fan of Costner - he's a bit too bland for me. Not enough screen presence to stand out, though he's amiable.

It's actually quite strange when you look at Kevin Bacon because he's not made that many movies considering how long he's been in the business, I think it averages about 2 a year which is quite common. Yet he seems to have the knack for getting parts in movies which seems to become popular. It also feels like he picks his work not for the money but because the parts he gets offered interest him and so whilst it may seem like he hasn't been about much, with the exception of 2006 he's been in at least 2 films every year going back to the early 90s. Anyway it's always good to see Bacon in a movie and his small part in "Frost/Nixon" is one of my favourites from more recent years.

He's certainly never out of work - I just think it's nice to see him in some major titles again. He has a certain charm and presence that most actors are sorely missing, perhaps because he always looks so comfortable, no matter who he's playing.

I also like Kevin Bacon in Hollowman... I was hoping he would do part two but i'm glad he didn't do it because it was so corny to watch it...

I've only seen the first one, which was excellent. The second really did look VERY bad...!

He did act in many movies, but majority were low budget. Few movies i love were Termors, Wildthings etc. I am glad he is back :). I miss many last decade actors like kevin, tommy lee. samuel who are not seen often these days

Tommy Lee Jones! Seriously underused actor who's absolutely brilliant, especially when he plays someone military or a bit mad. Great to see him in Captain America. Tremors was an absolute classic and also starred one of my all-time favourite underused actors, Fred Ward. The man's great but he's never in anything.

The last time i saw Kevin Bacon was in Hollow Man. I am not into watching movies anymore , specially at HBO, since i went back to working full time years ago. But i guess i have to look for his current self at the net one of these days. He maybe a villain always , but i like him as an actor.

Elephant White isn't the one about the abused elephant is it? If it is the elephant was actually abused who appeared in the film! Anyway, I digress. I do like Kevin Bacon. I believe he was in Apollo 13, which just so happens to be one of my favourite films. Great to see him back.

It certainly did not bother me of KB's come back. I agree, he had been gone for quite sometime and it is indeed surprising to see him often nowadays. Perhaps there had been an issue on his professional management and perhaps the same had been recently resolved- sorry, cant help but speculate.

I really like him. I'm glad he is back and he is in many films at the moment. I hope people did not forget him because he is really good actor. The second good actor who disappear and I don't know if he would appear again is Willem Defoe. I hope I will see him soon in any film.
