Hi guys, I tried and updated my profile on these sites today. Honestly, so much of hassle and even feeling it is so tough to get an online job now. Of course, I am happy with what I have now (in real life job) but I wish I can pursue my writing even more. What's your take on this? How was your first job in these sites and how you got them?

I got my first client through freelancer although we do not go through freelancer any more. I still write for her and have been for over a year now. I have not tried odesk. I worked for textbroker for a long time but just do not have the time to do it anymore!

I am not an odesk member, but I know a friend who is working with odesk. I have joined few writing sites where we earn a few publishing our own writings (original) aside from mylot. It's really a good challenge working online and also a rewarding one once we will be paid. have a good day always jaiho®

Thanks! Appreciate it. Yes rewarding but time is really an issue. I wish I have 25 hours a day!

Good to know that you already have a job that's not online work. I've been a member of oDesk and I started years ago. But up to now I haven't landed to any freelance work related to data entry. Good thing I have a real life job, otherwise I would have been broke for years now.

I've been there, and stopped after finishing two projects. Employers were so demanding, like 100% original, copyscape tested, no grammatical and spelling errors, must write ten 500-word article per day, well-researched, etc. etc. What did I get? A maximum of $1 per article, stress and tension from beating the deadline. Absolutely, the effort and skill I gave did not worth it. It's time that, we, writers, should not accept article writing jobs for less than $4 per 500-word article. They should give us a more decent pay. I came to realize that my pay was much lower than what our housemaid was getting as her monthly salary. I felt insulted and stopped.

I was once a member of oDesk, but it didn't work out well for me. The same goes for Freelancer and i gave up. There are many jobs available, but it's not easy landing them at all. IN order to get the best jobs, we have to sit through test, outbid others and even lie to get a work. IT's more stressful than landing a job in real life.
