This is a very nice discussion you started and I hope it gives people time to think that one day our parents will no longer be with us. I was only 25 when my father passed away at the age of 59 with cancer and my daughter was only 4 years old. It was then that I was left with no parents and it was hard. When my daughter got married I had to do it all alone and when she graduated I was hard broke she had no grandparents there to see her and be proud of her. So Yes be good to your elders everyone because one day you will also be one. Take Care.

my mother is paralyzed for 4 years now and yes since then till now i always make a point to spend sundays with her. my father has a different family with a wife who is just a little older than me. i dont spend time with him, we are not that close. i am the first born of our family and i am the last one who got married so i spend my time with my mother. i stayed with her till i was 29 years old. so we are really close. i date her on movies or eat out or sometimes sit at the front of the tv and call delivery har har har. i miss my mother, the one who can talk clear, the one who is very intelligent and the one who loves going out. but i still love her after the attack and we still spend time with her. the only time i can not spend time with her is when am abroad working.

Yes, I do. I go almost every weekend. That is also my child get to play with her cousins. We are just at the house most of times. It is also the time and the chance for me to help my mother with all the house work since no one who lives with her bothers to ever help her.
