Webanswers has deleted my account!

I have received the shock of my life today! After answering more than 240 questions and becoming an Authority member there, Webanswers has just now deleted my account! And for no rhyme or reason! Without even an email explaining why they have done so! I am terribly upset about this.I was just trying to answer a question when I realized I had been signed out. When I tried to log in they said username/password not found. Then I tried the 'forgot password' option but all I got was that such an account does not exist (email not found)! I am wondering if they are off their heads! Few hours ago I had submitted a question: Where will the Football World Cup be held in 2018 and 2022? I needed the answer for a survey that I was doing at that time. Today throughout the day I had spent time answering questions there and my account was even linked to Adsense. But as soon as I submitted this question I got a message in red letters that the question would not appear till moderators had approved it! That it contained my personal details such as my email address or contact number!! However I had not mentioned any personal details in that question I asked!! It was just a simple question! I am totally disheartened by such a massive blow.Just imagine that I had spent so much time and energy in reaching Authority level there. And all this only to get account deleted at the end! Shame on such a site!I am feeling terrible. Has anyone had a similar experience with Webanswers?

I understand your sentiments, It happens to me in one site but I wouldn't mention it anymore. Anyway I've work hard for it and when I reach the pay out, the admin of the site contacted me stating that there is someone who register using the same IP.I tried to explain that its possible because we own an internet shop and people who walks-in our shop could also register, They should have atleast block the other person registering using the same IP, right? but they didn't. Despite they let me and that person work until we both reach our pay out, the site wants a lion share. they aren't thinking about their people but only themselves. After I mailed them They should have atleast responded but they didn't. They didn't pay me :( The site like this should provide a software that can detect people's activity. If they just saw that you violated smth they should warn you first, if you don't listen then that is the right time they should cancel your account.

Thank you for sharing your experience.I am sorry to hear of your experience. You are absolutely right in saying that these sites should have a software for detection of what the users are doing and then send warnings and not just ban accounts like this.

they should prioritize their people because we are working for them, without us.. They will be nothing. If they don't value our work, then you can't expect anything from them. They just want to make money out of us but they will never know how to compensate our efforts.

Thanks for the warning. I just recently joined it and though I have not spent any time there, I hate it when I do put a lot of time into a site only for it to turn into a scam. I really do not like to work on sites anymore where the admin does not communicate with you. I cannot see any reason why they would not unless they know they are up to no good.

Oh, come on now! I know you, I am also a webanswers members and you answered one of my question the other day. Your answers are mostly short and some of the contains promotional links to some website. It is prohibited on webanswers because your post should be helpful and thorough. You are not allowed to promote your site there either. I have been on webanswers since last year, and I know how the site works. One thing for sure is, the don't delete members with no reason. I'm sorry the site didn't work for you.

If the question asks for less information as most questions there are,I could not help but reply with short answers. Those questions which demanded long answers,I have written at length and provided in-depth answers.Being a member you will obviously know that most questions there are like: Name the province where 'so and so city' is located or something like Who was Beety Boop's favorite dog?I could not help bu tprovide short answers there.I am not the first one to report against the site.I have searched and read other posts too here at Mylot where users have mentioned being deleted without any notification, all of a sudden. If I have mentioned a promotional link on that site they could have warned me once. They cannot delete accounts like this. However I am glad to know that the site works for you.I am happy writing here and at Factoidz,Triond etc.I will never recommend webanswers to anybody. The support staff hardly seem to exist there. Have a good day.

It sounds to me like they have lost their database! This is often on a separate server, so you don't know that there is a problem. I expect it is only a temporary problem, but you never know. You should wait a full day and then try again.

I am inclined to agree with Petersum that there may have been a fault with their database. In any case, only by contacting admin can you be sure of finding out what the problem is and how to restore your account.

Yes I have contacted them. But from the various posts about that site that I have read it seems the support does not reply back.Let's see though I am almost sure they won't revert back.I will try logging in later as you have said.Thank you for your suggestions. Have a good day.
