I have watched a news lately today. The news was all about a group of children possessed because they were said playing "Spirit of the glass". I am not trying to be skeptical here. I am just wondering, they were said to be possessed because: First, they were afraid of Religious Items(Bible, Crosses and the like). Second, they were acting strange and saying weird things that does not correlate with them. Lastly, They were said to be possessed because they were speaking Latin. Latin? Really? How come they know they were speaking Latin? It may be sound like Latin but it does not mean they were really speaking Latin. Did they bother to translate it from Latin to the words that we understand? I bet they did not even understand it, so why bother translate it (smug). When you speak Latin does it really mean that you were possessed? What are your thoughts about this Mylotters??

I know some religious people seem to think Latin is what the devil seems to want to speak. I am not sure why that is the golden language I mean German would have sounded more scarier But I do not believe stuff like that but then again I have never really been the religious type. Maybe they are doing it for attention or they are a group of children who had bible huggers for parents who would beat them with religious items so now when someone comes near them with it they are frightened. I am not to sure and I have really no knowledge about this story. I guess I would have to look into it more to have a better opinion about it.

paululum linguae latinae dico I speak a little Latin. I loved the subject at school, I've even read the first Harry Potter book translated into Latin. was bought it as a sort of joke thing, but I read it. it's a great language. I don't see any reason why speaking Latin would mean you were posessed. if that was so, what would that say about the Roman Empire?

That is exactly why i was wondering. Me too, I want to learn latin. Latin is kinda cool to learn. And not all, or there are only few people who could speak latin.

It's a pleasing language to learn. a lot of the words have similarities in languages that have developed from it, so it's always quite fun to see where some of our words come from. even popular pet names. did you know that Fido is Latin for "I am faithful" Felix means lucky. we had a dog called Ludo. the name means "I play" it's a great language. if you can grasp Latin, there are many languages that will prove more accessable.

Hi my friend! i also saw that news. I don't know if it real or maybe those high school students are having fun and making same kind of a trick. The thins tat bothers me most is the number of students possessed and it's not normal. Imagine more than 30 students in the same school. Most of the possessed stories and movies that I've seen uses Latin language when someone is possessed by demons, fallen angel or whatever you may call it. Why they use that language? Are those fallen angels uses the Latin language too? Or that are once bearer of that language? Maybe they live in the place where the people speaks Latin language???

Well yeah maybe, but i have heard and read about that there is a medical phenomenon like that. Were everyone felt what the other felt. For example, in a plane, it is said that one patient on the plane is affected with a disease and experiencing a symptoms such as headache, abdominal pain or the like. Then possibly all the passengers of the plane will experience that and perceived those possible symptoms even though they dont have that disease. But yeah, there some things that we could not explain. Maybe yes or not they possessed. I am just annoyed that one of the reason they said to be possessed because they speak latin and they did not even bother translating it. How did they know that is it latin? Is it because it sounded like latin? Well, that is not enough. Hmmm??

The devil can speak in almost all languages. He travels all around the world looking for victims. But he is below god. I would say that you were possessed if you weren't fluent in Latin. You can't start being fluent in one language all of the sudden.

That even sounds stupid, with the new paranormal movies out scaring the crap out of people, more and more people are starting to believe in possessions and stuff. Even if a pen rolls off a table people begin to think their house is haunted. To be honest, sometimes things happen that just make people think outside the box.

When strange things happens that is beyond our comprehension we really tend to think outside the box. And we always blame it directly to paranormal things.
