My Bestfriend, my lover

My boyfriend right now is also my best friend before and until now. My friends tell me that they don't want the same set up like that because a best buddy should be just a friend and not more than that. Which one do you like in a serious relationship, having a boyfriend whom you consider a best friend or a newly met guy and you also have another best friend?

Hi Bashful, I think that your partner should always be your best friend. Be careful though, if it doesn't work out, you will have lost, not just your boyfriend but also your best friend. Blessings.

I'm the same way with my boyfriend. Before we started dating, I was friends with him for a few months and then I really developed feelings for him. Now I consider him to be my best friend and we're able to tell each other everything without feeling uncomfortable. I don't see a problem with it, afterall, you can't help who your best friends are and you can't help who you fall in love with, even if it's your best friend. Also, when you get married, you really should be getting married to your best friend because now they're going to be your partner in life. Consider yourself lucky because not everyone can call their lover their lover as well as their best friend.

It depends really. Some people can still come back to being friends when they break up and others don't which is where the risk lies. But it's nice to have a best friend as a boyfriend because you don't need to keep stuff you normally in a typical relationship. As for meeting someone new, it's like a newly turned page in your life. You get to have new adventures and experiences with this person. So for me, I'm really not particular about it. Whatever happens will happen and it's up to us to enjoy every moment of it to the fullest.
