Ever since this question circulated, I go with one answer. The chicken. I believe in biblical origin of creation. Christ created the all living things and non-living things beginning with an adult form. Remember Adam and Eve? They weren't created as babies..hehehe.. Watcha think?

I always say if you believe in the Eden story , the it was the chicken. But if you believe in evolution , then it is the egg.

I believe G-d created Evolution. So I believe in both. For the scientists , it is the egg. For the religious , the chicken.

I believe in God's creation too. My answer is Chicken was the first created. In the bible, it was said that God created animals, it was never said that he created eggs lol. Even if scientifically, eggs came first, when it comes to bible, chicken was the first one created.

Exactly, He made everything living..I doubt an egg can survive till it hatches without the hen's warmth..

Each one of us have different beliefs. But we are not here to debate but rather give and express our opinion. In my case, I do believe that the chicken comes first since I do believe that God created all things. Though for others might say its baseless, I totally respect that. Now considering that each one of us have different beliefs and faith as well as opinion, this post of your might be good gauge as to who will when.. the chicken first or the egg.

Thank you for that. I never thought that this could become a gauge of who's winning. What I greatly admire is the variety of opinion on the topic, much like the belief that the chicken must've been an evolved form of a lower organism. It really is great to know more.

Without male and female nothing living being is created. It is the product of copulation. The story of Adam and Eve is baseless. It is only a believe.

Hi emjay86! I believe that there is a God who created all things too that is why I know that it is actually the chicken that came first and not the egg. God's design in creation was for living things, including human beings, to reproduce after their own kind. Chicken giving birth to chickens (inside the egg), monkeys give birth to monkeys and that these creatures do not evolve to become human beings. I simply can not accept the fact that I evolved from monkeys. I believe that I was made in the image and likeness of God.

I also think so blungel0830. The chicken did come first. Nevertheless, everyone have their own opinion and I am happy to hear about theirs too. This is what makes this world beautiful because not everyone agrees on the same concept. The tension between adds spice to everyday relationship. :)

People have debated this problem for a long time. Nobody could collect enough evidences to persuade others. In my view, I also agree that it's the chicken which was created at first. It's possible that the chicken evolved from a kind of extinguished creature.

It has been a long time indeed. I never thought of it. A chicken evolving from something else. A different theory. As with the human, evolved from monkey? This is interesting.

I agree with you there. An endless debate that may pass on the later generations. Including "Why did the chicken cross the road?"
