Do you earn money by posting comments too?

Hi there,
I've been myLotting for just 2 days now and have been posting a lot of comments as well as posts. I was wondering whether I also get paid for the comments because I've seen varying answers to this question: some say you do not get paid for commenting on posts, others say you do. Can anyone help me out with the real answer to this question?

1.Discussing
2.Commenting
3.Completing Task
4.Using Search box
5.Uploading Pics
Doing all these regularly will make you a lot of money.

Hi there, thank you for heading that up!
What I do find to be strange is that I make more posts each day than the day before but my earnings go down compared to the day before:
day 1:
posts: ~25
comments: ~0
earnings: $0.62
day 2:
posts: ~30
comments: ~10
earnings: $0.55
day 3:
posts: ~35
comments: ~30
earnings: $0.37
that doesn't seem right at all!

Is that your day or a myLot day???
When earnings update they are for your activity from midnight to midnight the day BEFORE, according to myLot time by the clock at the bottom of the page.

The think the way I have seen it worded is that when you type you earn. In other words, you have a discussion, others comment. Then when you respond to their comments, you earn. When you comment on their discussions, you earn.
I feel like everything is looked at as a whole like short comments, lengthy comments, helpful, number of comments etc. Probably wrong, but that is how I feel.

Sometimes I am feeling a little lost (this is not unusual for me)like on what I should be doing here. At first and in general things can seem overwelming if there is too much information but straight forward approaches work well for me. A comment like keep posting helps so thanks - ok I'll try and do just that.

You are always paid for the comments.You don't earn for the responses you get on your discussion.Always remember YOU TYPE YOU ERAN AND I TYPE I EARN.
You always get paid for the participation so always respond to other's discussion and always comment back to the responses you get on your discussion.And lastly try to give quality content in your responses.

We do not get paid for 'ANY' participation.
We ONLY get paid for quality.
Saying 'thanks' and 'got it' like you did in your comments above will not earn as they add nothing at all to the discussion and to not further the topic.

I've been a member for a couple of weeks and all I do is comment on post, and I'm earning money. I don't know if you earn more for starting post than you do for commenting on them though. I have only started 1 post, because I find that I have a hard time thinking up ideas. But I guess I'll have to try harder.

Welcome to myLot MomofLucas.
There is a bit of confusion as to what are comments here I believe.
Topic = the piece of text which starts a discussion.
Response = the responses added to the topic.
Comment = the reponses added to the main responses. These comments further the topic, and don't add to our user rating (the number beside our name) if they are on our own started discussions while the first one on discussions started by others do add to it. However ALL of the comments will cuase earnings if they are of quality and add something to the discussion.

It's good to know that you get paid for comments too, it motivates even more to involve into discussions more than just posting. I personally start a new topic when I have come up with a new question about something or just want to discuss something, see what other people's thoughts/opinions are on a subject.

Others had answered that to you so I don't think I need to say the same thing here..In here we are discussing topics and of course when you create a topic you want others to respond to them and that will give you back and forth conversation. I am sure you will get familiar with it soon. It is normal for everyone here when they get started they will think about whether they get paid or not but then after a while you will find that you don't have to care much about it as you know you will surely earn from it not just money but relationship you build with other mylotters.(^^)

From what I know, we gain for posted for discussion, but also on the comments about what we do. What is the method of allocating this money but I do not know yet.

I think we earn something for everything we do here. post comment,start discussion, upload photo, etc. As long as you are actively participating I think you earn something. What I don't know is how is it calculated. You're just surprised the next day when your earning goes up.

yes i know you do earn for posting comments and responses. i now know from everyone else that you also earn for uploading pictures also. what i would like to know is when you post a response do you get paid the same amount for however much you type? or if you type just a little you get paid just a little you type more 5 or 6 good sentences you get paid more? that i havent been able to figure out yet. it would be nice if we were paid more for posting responses its sad when you work for hours and get paid next to nothing

We are paid for quality activity which furthers and adds something to the topic.
There is no set rate fpor anything and it is certainly not based on any set number of lines or words.

It is hard to get paid if you just write a single or two lines in a post. Elaborate and give a lengthy comments and you will see that you get what you deserved. Use Mylot search engine with discussions tab and search for a discussions which discussed about quality post in mylot. Good luck!(^^)
