is Apollo 18 the sequel to the infamous film Apollo 13 or they are not related at all? I'm interested to watch Apollo 18 cause I really love the movie Apollo 13 but the documentary style kinda turn me off. What is your opinion?

As we had real life Apollo missions in between (14-17?) to follow 13's near disaster, this movie can't be considered a sequel to 13,except maybe in the spirit of it's dedication to the Apollo missions...besides,though planned (and then later cancelled) Apollo 18 never took place..so the story in this movie can only be speculative...

I heard about this new movie but I haven't watched it yet. It is a science fiction movie and it is attractive for me. Perhaps it has nothing to do with the movile Appollo 13. It seems that Apollo 18 is a movie about the human beings who landed the moon. I look forward to watching it so that I can tell you more about it:) I love China

I see. Apollo 13 is also about mission to the moon where three astronauts went on a mission there but actually never landed on the moon. It was based on a true story starred by Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Gary Sinise, and Bill Paxton. It was a great movie. Maybe you should watch it. The film was made in 1995. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_13_%28film%29

Apollo 13 and Apollo 18 are not related movies other than the names. Probably a publicity thing. Anyway, there hasn't been any public landings on the moon since Apollo 17. Could there have been? Just like do you really know how many satellites are up there floating around? Those flights were not announced when they went up. Who's to say what is actually going on with the space program these days. We have a space station about to be abandoned, left empty. What is truly going on with the space programs we won't know for another 20-30 years when they decide to allow the public to know this information as they do with all other secrets. It will no doubt be a good horror flick.. enjoy..

I am not really sure, I think I saw Apollo 13 though, it was with Tom Hans right? I am okay with documentary style though as long as it is not so boring... I am looking forward to this movie, who's in it anyway?

no ..they got nothing to do with each other..two totally diferent movie..using the Apollo space mission title.. apollo 13 is about a fail space mission..but safely get to go back to earth.. while Apollo 18 is totally another movie about something strange happenming on th esurface of the moon (aliens etc..i dont know) so thats the reason it was the last mission to the moon..for a fact..till 2011 theres never a flight to the moon..and believe this was the reason.. a thriller/mystery.. i havent seen it yet.. but i know some details about this movie..been following it quite a while now..

yes..this is a MOVIE.. about a last mission..for a flight known as Apollo 18.. its a MOVIE..so the story probably they kept it a secret mission..due to the mystery involved here..alien discoveries bla bla..(i yet to see it)..but that whats it all about..about a moon mission gone bad..and like it to be unknwon to the public..so no one knows about Apollo 18.. so whether there is actually an 18th missio..no on knows..probably fiction.
