Perfumes are made of fragrant essential oils They are pleasant and cause a goodness feeling in the people. Scent need not be of a goodness causing agent or substance. A scent need not be always good. Whereas perfume is always good.

Scent is a fragrance indistinctly neutralized thru the air; subtle and pleasant. Perfume is same as scent but more stylishness; like cologne which is fragrant, fresher, more prevalent scent.

Scent is a general term for something that one smells. It may be pleasant or not so good, depending on one's preference. Perfume is prepared for the purpose of producing a pleasing scent.

I think they are quite the same although I don't think you can spray scent. All the perfumes are not the same either btw.
