I think that Chelsea will win this game, and with a one goal difference. I guess Chelsea is a good team at home, but they still have to understand the tactics of Villas Boas, as he is known for a unique playing style. But we know that for a coach to implement his unique style at a team he needs time and Villas Boas is at Chelsea only for a few months.

Ballack is not the same anymore. He cannot play the same level anymore and he has only played in two Bundesliga games so far and he hasn't impressed. So I don't think he will start in the game against Chelsea.

AVB and Chelsea made a good start to the Champions league. Against Valencia the Chelsea team won 2-0 on the night. I think Chelsea is just beginning to gel as a team under AVB. And that is good, but the real test for them is over the weekend when they take on Manchester United in the EPL. Cheers! Ram

Qualifying for the second round is not a problem for chelsea since they have always done it even without Villa boas. IT's always in the quarter and semi finals where they fall, due to some freak goals or controversies, whereby chelsea felt undone. IF a team is not good, no matter what they do, it's useless. They can reach the finals in 5/5 times, but if they didn't win in that 5 times, it's useless too.

@sanitary: Although I am not a Chelsea fan, but for me Chelsea is a good team. They play a good football, and I think it is just a matter of luck that doesn't be with them MOST of the time. Nevertheless, I am looking forward of how this Chelsea team fared in the Champions League this season.

@adhyz82: I think he will helps them past through the first round. Although Villas-Boas is a really young manager, I don't think anyone can deny his talent. Nevertheless, he will face new challenges at this level of competition and that will only make him a better manager over the years. But I don't think Chelsea will go through the latter stages. I simply don't think so (don't ask why! ).

@adhyz82: I believe second round and henceforth will be hard for every other coaches, and Villas-Boas is in no way an exception. I am looking forward to see how this Chelsea team fared with their new manager.
