We'll be having chips inserted somewhere our bodies. They'll replace whatever gadgets we have now.

You don't like the idea of your phone chips inserted in your hands, so that when you need to call you just talk to your hand? Me neither. Sounds too creepy, eh?

You're asking when will our CD's turn to extinction? Well, maybe next year. You know, it's now 2012. By next year, it will be 2012, and the end of the world, including CD's! Haha

Who is you to say it will be the end of the world? Maybe the end of old things and old ways. True the end of the world is coming but man don't know when that will be so haha to you and keep smiling cause I know I am. Anyway I just wanted to know what will come after cd's with so much going on in the world. Do you happen to know that?LOL.

I am really not sure where audio recordings are going from here... and I hope it isn't a chip somewhere in our bodies (I am certainly not following suit if it is!) I remember hearing that when CD's first came out, it was said (by the manufacturers, I guess) that you could spread peanut butter all over them and they'd still play. Of course, we know that sometimes even the slightest little smudge can cause it to skip. Perhaps something a little more robust would be in order. Now, as far as video goes, I sometimes wonder if I should just ignore whatever comes after Blu-Ray as I really don't want to start my collection all... over... again... AGAIN!

Sounds like you're on to something. Maybe more updated cds from the ware and tare sounds good. Now I haven't began to think about the video. I'm with you on my collection, I would hate to have to start all over. It wound suck.

I wish CDs would stay around forever. I love collecting them, I miss vinyl too though. There's something cool about having a collection in your house. What's next? I saw something on a show, Family Guy I think, where some guy went into a store and asked for a show and he just scanned his head as if he was buying him and then the guy started laughing, watching the show implanted in his head. Nothing as extreme as that, but I think it will be instant. Maybe you can just type what you want and swipe your device and it's stored straight away. Kind of depressing really, you can store everything on one small gadget.

I have not seen that show but its not my cup of tea. I think it will be just something to download. I like your ideal about the device. As long as its not something that has to be implanted.
