I like Quilts. I don't do my own quilting, I just do the top work. It has just gotten to expensive for me to continue in this hobby, but I have enjoyed hte years I spent doing it.

Yes it is expensive. I just can't believe the price of fabric these days! $7 a yard for the cheapest!!! I remember paying 77 cents a yard!!! But I am making memory quilts for my grand daughters...incase something happens to me they have my memory in a quilt. I have just been watching the sales at the fabric store and getting things when they go on sale for half off or with a coupon. Planning ahead is an excellent...no it is a MUST, feature for sewing anaything these days!

I used to do lots of quilting and I myself have been getting the fever once again. I only hand quilted and used the magazines my mother had for patterns. The biggest draw back is the price of material these days! My daughter made a quilt for my granddaughter. I went with to pick the material and was truly taken back by the prices!
