Somewhat relieved and in a good mood

In some of my other discussions I've talked about how my boyfriend is most likely going away into the military and might have to move states. Well tonight we were at dinner and he told me he wants to go in the Coast Guard instead of the Air Force. His dad was in the Coast Guard and has a good friend that's been talking to my boyfriend and he said that there's a 99.9% chance he'd be able to get stationed at the base near our house since it's a busy one that no one wants to be at. Even though I would gladly move anywhere to be with my boyfriend, knowing he could stay so close to home made me feel a lot better. Now he'll only have to be gone for boot camp and then whatever school he has to go to afterwards to learn to do whatever job it is he's going to do in the military. It made me feel relieved knowing that we probably wouldn't have to move anywhere and we could just stay here. Then, to top it all off my boyfriend said something so cute that it brightened up my whole day and put me on cloud nine. We were listening to this new Sean Paul song and my boyfriend said he was going to make it my ringtone so that song would play whenever I called him. I joked and said why? because you have to be reminded that you have to love me? And he said no, I don't have to, I want to. He says cute things all the time and it's always the simple things like that that just make me melt and love him even more. Hearing him say that made me feel amazing and even know just thinking about it I get all happy and jittery inside. Ahh such a good dinner date with him, I can't wait to be able to live with him and have dinner together all the time.

I know I'm a bit late getting to this discussion, as I have been away for the week. But I'm still glad that he's had a change of heart and is choosing to protect the coastline instead of the skies. Having him near would be great, as you don't have to deal with the constant worry when he is away. Hopefully, the plan is still in place for him to be in the Coast Guard.

I know he really wants to go in the air force and he keeps switching between the two. His overly strict dad is pushing towards coast guard (in my favor). But I don't want him doing something just because that's what my number one choice for would be. I want him to do what he wants to do. I'm really glad he's thinking about me and I strongly believe he'll end up in the coast guard because he knows that it would be better for us. We'll see how it goes and I'm sure I'll be posting more on it :)

I guess that's the most important thing - that he decides what's best for him. Even if it's not the 'best' for you. Hopefully, everything works out!

he's trying to make the situation lighter for you,and you are so lucky to have a very sensitive boyfriend. i sort of feel bad because mine was never like that, well we're not together anymore. at some point we feel like the relationship is full of negatives that we always complain so much about it and we forget the beautiful little things. i guess you just have to trust that your boyfriend knows exactly what he's doing and he wont be deciding on things that will make you feel bad, not ever.

I love him so much. He always seems to say those perfect little things at just the right time. He knows that I'm kind of sad about him having to go into the Coast Guard but we both know he'll only be gone for a little while and then he'll almost most definitely get stationed by our house. He's doing it so he can have a career since school didn't really work out for him. He won't ever do something to intentionally hurt me, I know he really thinks highly of our relationship and he doesn't ever want to ruin it.
