How is that making friends online?

Friends are very much needed in our day to day life and making friends online is one of the best blessed. We can learn many good ideas with them and experience their experience more quickly. How is your experience with friends online? Lets share our experience here.. cheers!!!!

I have both good and bad experiences but will think about the good ones. People can help each other achieve and that is a success story for all concerned. All too often friends can go away and sometimes there are very good reasons for this both in day to day life and online. There are many grey areas online, you do not always get the answers as to why.

Me too! Good and bad. I think it is rare for me to find an online acquaintance I have called friend. I have and it is possible but it is so different from real life. Online there is so much opportunity to hide things. It really is too anonymous to use the word unless you mean it lightly. Grey areas as above.
But when you need an ear or some therapy, then that online person is a friend for sure.

Certainly online friends are different than day to day friends or friends you see face to face. I do believe though that you can make a friend online and they are real too in the sense that they can care. I think that is the bottom line. The person you meet at a bus stop, while traveling and you know you will never see again in life sort of gives you an anonymous flavour too. You do not really know them but you can sometimes get a sense of friend at least the kind you do not see as an enemy.

I have people on my friend's list, but I call them acquaintances not friends. A friend is someone to whom you tell all your secrets ( and then they are no longer secrets.) A friend is someone to whom you lend money,( and then you never get repaid.) A friend is someone to whom you share your love, ( and then your lover gets stolen) This is why I have NO friends, just acquaintances!

Oh!! you term them as acquaintances. Nice, today i've learned a new word to use. As you said friend should give their hand when needed and get together at tough times. you are right friend. LOL...

I have made some great friends online, who i have been chatting to now, for over two years.I think that it is great that we can chat to other people, no matter where they live.I belong to a lot of subjecy sites and they are great as we all get on there together and discuss many different ideas, as well as some of us have met up.
