. don’t give up

I fall in with your views even though it makes no difference at my age whether giving up or moving forward,because "God helps those who help themselves."

I always in faith that if you don't do anything to change your awful condition,you will stay in awful forever,but if you have a try,may be you will change it.so my favourite sayings is "where there is a will,there is a way".no matter what occur to us,we should smile to life,only when we do it,the life would smile to us, BR

I am a bit pessimistic, so it also easily gets me frustrated when I see little or no effect in efforts that I do. I could relate to this with my work and the financial struggles of day to day living. So, however hard I work, and however 'creative' I get in our finances, I don't see any improvements. I can't give up, so I just struggle on.

I know what you mean, when you feel that everything is going the wrong and no matter what you do it still continues to fail and all you want to do is just quit and move on to the next thing. I know because I will be the first to admit I am at fault I have found myself do that the same thing on numerous occassions. I know you shouldn't leave thing uncompleted but when you are in a difficult situation thats all you want to do. I have tried to calm myself down when I feel that I am in that situation, I would distract myself for a while just to disconnect and try and come back with a fresh mind. That sometimes helps, but sometimes it doesn't that's when my frustrations begin. LOL!!!

true.. we may easily be discouraged of others words but we should not be too affected by it. i was once a person who easily gets discouraged but as i have grown and as i have known myself better through the years then i do not allow these discouragements to fail me. because i knew myself better than them. now, my greatest enemy is myself. lol! and i think the confidence i have that God is with me all the time fuels me in my everyday.

The easy thing to do is to get our eyes off of Christ and put them on our own problems because it is easy to do as human, I know it is frustration that it brings. Our combat everyday is to not forget to not set our eyes ( mind)on anything else but Christ to not be afraid and lost and discourage. Let us not faint until Christ comes back.

It is good to strive to do what is right and persevere when things get difficult. But my Bible does not say that "God helps those who help themselves." We are admonished to not grow weary in well-doing, to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. But no man can really fulfill that in himself. We are told we need to love the Lord with all our hearts and our neighbor as ourself, but without the help of God, we can't do that all the time, either. Man basically has a sin problem, and his sin keeps him from fellowship with God. Man cannot be truly righteous without the help of God. He can only approach God because of what Jesus did on his behalf. Only God can lift us from the pit, the miry clay, we are trapped in. It is only when we realize we can't help ourselves that we are able to accept the help that God so freely gives us. Then whatever we do for him is out of gratitude and as we step out in faith to obey him, he does guide and help us persevere in tough circumstances. Jesus is the great physican who is able to help the helpless, but first they had to want his help. First they had to approach him and ask. It was then he healed them and made the lame to walk, the blind to see. Then they were able to go about helping themselves. I would say that God helps us to help ourselves.

I have experienced a lot of failures in my life too.. But good thing is that whenever I fail.. I never forget to seek His love and grace.. I know.. there are no problems that God will give me that I cannot solve.. I'll lay unto Him all my wishes in life. I know someday.. God will bless me too. I hope everybody could have hope and believe on this..
