This morning, I have wanted to spend at the employment office in Genoa for the purpose of participate in a work call. This call refers to only 1 place like "profile of administration" and since I fit the requirements, I wanted to "groped". This knowing that the probability is assumed that is more nothing that remotely, because many people will enroll, but like I said the work will be given to a single candidate. Unfortunately, today, at least in Italy the unemployment problem is very serious, the percentage of unemployed is very high, therefore, when there is an opportunity to join the call employment, members are hundreds and hundreds. What can I say, "on the other hand" ? Well, one thing .... I hope !

Hi alberello! We never seem to have many exchanges onhere although I have left several responses on your other topics. I am English but live in Italy since 1975 bajd I am very aware that the job situation there is appalling, even more so recently. I lost my job at the end of last March as the firm decided that all employees should become partners or lose their job. We all decided not to continue further as the future was uncertain. I am now in UK for personal reeasons and while I'm here I'm applying for jobs. There are sooooo many available here! Bear in mind that I am also near to the pension and not looking for a career so I am skipping many of them. I have had a couple of interviews and one has possibly gone well. I will know soon and if it has then I will be staying on longer here than I originally planned to. The alternative is to return to Italy where jobs are few and far between and where older people have even fewer possibilities than younger people to find one. I have seen in certain parts of Italy where thousands of applicants go for just one place available with little or no chance of getting it I wish you luck in your search for a job. Have you thought about moving abroad to find work?

To be honest I never seriously considered the idea of ??moving away from Italy. But I must specify that some of my friends have recommended it to me. We will see a little what to do in the near future.

Unemployment is becoming a problem in many countries. You should do your best to find ways which make you employable and better than others. Getting a job is difficult, but if you have experience and good qualifications you should never give up. Try applying in many vacancies so as to improve your chances of being chosen. The key is to never give up and to always do your best at an interview.

Unemployment is very serious is the US but, there are a lot of job openings. Alot of Americans are too picky and will not do certain jobs. They would rather get an unemployment check and sit at home. Many jobs are considered low income jobs and Americans are just too lazy to fill them.
