What things are you learning by socializing on myLot?

While on myLot, I have discovered that there are many, many people here that are from a totally different country and culture than I am. I see it on their profile, I can tell it from their responses. It is really interesting to be involved with this wide range of people from all over the world communicating together. First, I am thankful that they are willing to communicate with me and all of myLot in English. Second I see that 99% of the people I have encountered her are genuinely kind and loving. Third, I am learning that there is so much that I don't know and never imagined! Thank you all!
Please share some of your experiences from dealing with so many different types of people on myLot.

I think the most important lesson that i've learned by merely participating and creating discussions is that once should not be afraid to face their problems because you are not literally alone on you journey for there are also people who faces the same or even bigger problems than you.

Adding to what you have already posted, I can say I have actually met some of my Mylot friends. I also have learned that our online community can mostly get along, and if we tried, maybe the world could as well. I have learned that you can genuinely care about people you have never met, and may never meet, but if they are hurting, you hurt as well.

Hi Kizzy Cat Fish: I think I have learnt so many things from the different cultures that are present on this great site. However, now that you ask me this question I remember how I have discovered that in some countries is very common to arrange your marriage, something which is weird in the society I live.

The first thing is I am practicing my English and learning more and more to have my thoughts written in English as I am not that well-converse with the language. Another one is that I learn to sort out my thoughts as I response and do comments on discussions. Another great thing is now I know how to differentiate virtual friends from real ones!

I remember one day on myLot I met person who got owls and this lovely lady told me something about those incredible birds. The other day I receive good recipe on chocolate cake. I can write here many examples. MyLot is amazing and got amazing possibilities to learn more and more.
