October Fest during September, everybody just drunk

I am working at a Thai restaurant during the weekend, and cross the restaurant I work at, there is a Bar, which they will host different activities every month. This Month, just last week, they hosted a October Fest at the court yard, which they invited bands, and serving drinks and good food. I saw many people participate, and many were drunk while enjoying the live bands too. I want to partake such great party myself, while I have to work though. So, I can only watch them, and daydream about me drinking with other girls and some of good friend too. I just wonder what is the real October fest gonna be like in Germany? It must 10 times wilder than this.
