recently my roommates decided they wanted to move out and it basically seemed like they were leaving us hanging. me and my husband were very stressed out about where we would move afterwards because we were told that we were staying longer and we were told that we would have to move in less than 2 weeks. now that just doesn't seem fair. i was starting to think that our friends really didn't care what happened to us. we only had about a thousnad in the bank and didnt make enough to get an apartment of our own, especially not on such short notice. but here is where things changed....one of our roommates came to us with a proposition. he said if we pay the difference in the increase in rent, then we could stay for another month. do you guys think we shpuld do it?

First thing these guys are not your friend but enemies (You can check the definition in dictionary). They are playing mind game. I would suggest you to ask your family get some money and move to some other room. If that is not possible, explain the situation to the room owner and tell him that even if you allow your so called friends to be with you, they might steal something of yours and you can trust them anymore. I am sure the room owner will understand the situation and help you with the situation.

wow. maybe you are right. they do act kinda funny towards us and make decisions without warning so i don't really know what to think at times. and by the way we are living in an apartment with them not a room. thanks for your opinion

It depends on the amount of time left for you to decide on this. If you still have time, I suggest you also try to look for a cheaper place that you can afford. You can take your roommates' proposition and then when you've already found that cheaper place, you can reverse the situation. Kinda evil huh?

Try to get a cheaper place as soon as possible. That person doesn´t seem like he´s a friend. He is not trying to help you. Surely there are cheaper lodgings, even if it means living a little more cramped.

I should stay that other month and read the internet if people are renting places for a payable price. In the mean time you have to work really hard. Full time. Maybe taking an extra job?
