why do you place the blame on the person that is suffering from depression. depression is not a state of mind, an attitude or a personality flaw. it's a medical condition. it's a chemical imbalance in the body that produces an artificial feeling of extreme sadness, no matter how good your life is. the emotion is not real, but you still suffer. it's a horrible horrible illness. it IS dangerous, just like diabetes is dangerous. criticising someone who is suffering for an illness and acting like they can sort out their chemical imbalance by thinking differently just increases the social stigma. and ANY medication should only be taken on expert advice. but can you think of any other illness where you would advise someone against taking medication for it? would you advise someone not to take medication for Diabetes? why is there a stigma to taking a medication to address a chemical imalance in the body if it's the brain that doesn't produce it at the right level, but not if it's the pancreas? yes, some depression can be improved through good diet and regular exercise to help rebalance the chemicals, but why stigmatise people who that doesn't work for?

the trouble is, often when you're suffering from depression, even getting out of bed feels too much like hard work, and you crave less healthy foods. it's not a cure, I don't beleive that there is a cure. it's a way of managing the condition that some people find really helpful. for some people, it can be the difference between needing medication or not. it won't be enough to help everyone, but it can help. a bit like losing weight doesn't make arthritis go away, but it lessens the impact of it on your life, healthy food and regular exercise can lessen the symptoms of depression in the less severe cases.

If you need a POV for the "Article" you have written here it is. The first paragraph is too generalized and is not supported by concrete matter. Also the use of words like 'disgusting' and 'insane' are not liked. Finally, the sentences are too short and it feels as though some kid has written it. Other than that it is ok.

I believe depression is more of a spiritual attack than medical reason. However, that is not a popular view on it since it would mean that evil does exist. I do agree with you that depression is a serious issue. I just do not agree with how they suggest to treat it.

The main important remedy to depression is making sure that we are there for them and removing their loneliness . Depression can lead to any extent. coming to teenagers now a days it's more. If they did wrong or right we have to listen to them carefully and then try to make them understand. Make them to interact more with the people. Moral support is the key to make the person normal. Everything comes next. Yoga is one of the great tool to get rid of depression.
