This happen to my friend actually. He just truck driver and lately he got incident that put him in a lot of trouble. As truck driver, he must traveled to many places around my country. About 1.5 month ago he must traveled somewhere in East Java (I forget the exact place). On the way to the destination he feels tired. He decided to pull over his truck, put some sign around it and go to sleep. In the middle of sleep suddenly he wake up because he heard big sound behind his truck. He went there and he found something terrible, ..... a motor cycle driver died because he bump his motor in behind of the truck. My friend shocked and try to help that person. Not for long after that policemen came up, checking accident place, and talk to some people. But suddenly the police come to my friend and talk that they gonna arrest him for this accident. WHAT ....? He not even driving. My friend tried to explain everything but policemen just won't listen. He stay in jail about 10 days and he got out after his wife bailed him 1 million IDR (about $120). This big money for him and his family. Even he already out from jail he still must charged to report to police every week. Because this accident, my friend lost his driving license and lost his job. Not even his mistake but he the one who take all blame ... Oh man .....

Nope ... it's company truck, he can't rent it to someone else. Common Henky, in our country there is a rule " Bigger vehicle always get all blame". Policemen only use this rule. What a stupid rule ...!!!

In this country,UK law says it's the driver behind who's responsible to be able to stop in time..if You hit the vehicle in front,it's your fault..why tailgating someone is always risky...How did this happen to Your friend? did He stop ON the road to sleep? was it a narrow road or a straight one? If there were witnesses around for the police to Question,it must have been a populated area, not out in the country..Was there street lighting? When He had signs with him to be able to identify his stopping place for other road users to avoid,it seems he was complying with local road laws..

He put his truck on the roadside and he already put some signs around it. The accident not on populated area but when accident happen, traffic little bit higher than usual. Police only ask some road users who just passing by (just want to look the accident). Yeah I think that just police procedure but for 10 days .....? And they ask money too ... I believe my friend give more than 1 million (1 million only on police station ....that the only thing I know because I loan my money for this)
