I've tried some like dvd shrink but the quality is not good. I think the best way to burn multiple movie is to copy them without any software to used and hope it would last long on that ".avi" format on 4.7 DVD format I'm doing this just for personal collection because my hard disc don't have enough space.

I looks like you wanted to burn Data type DVD dont you? Data DVD is an easier way to keep our collection like .avi, .mp4, .mkv, etc. I usually burn my Data DVD using Nero. You can choose Nero Express for easier burning interface. After that choose the Burning Data DVD then you can enter the file that you wanted to burn there. If i may give you advice, you should burn it with as slow speed as possible for keeping the DVD for a long time. More slower burn speed you choose then the DVD result would be better since it can burned perfectly with longger time than using shorter burn time. Hope thise information could be some use to you ^_^

If you intend to watch those movies in PC, you can convert them to divx/xvid format using "avs video converter" tool. You can also find many free tools for this purpose. If you intend to watch those movies in DVD Player, convert them to divx format. Whatever codec you use, you can convert 4.7 GB DVD to 700 mb without loosing significant quality loss.

Assuming that you intend to play it only on your PC, You can use Nero or other free DVD burning application to burn multiple movies on to a DVD.

you should try ashampoo burning suit it has good features.you can try compressing the movies but it will take more time so it is better to just add movies and make a data dvd.
