So, Halloween is getting nearer and nearer and I'm excited because we don't have work that day. Thank God it fell down on a weekday. But I'm not excited for Halloween parties or trick or treats or anything, we don't actually do that here although the kids here like to wear scary masks. But what I'm excited for is the horror movie marathon that I will be doing on that day, on that night. I'm already searching for good horror movies that I am lining up for my marathon. ^^ What are your preparations for the coming Halloween?

Nothing much from my end. No preparations at all. Since I have become a stay at home mom, I will treat it as one of those regular days which shall be taking place in the life of this family. It has been years now that my second child and I have devoted our days to taking care of my youngest child. So we find ways to earn some money for our living/sustenance. Our main source of income are the farms. Now, my daughter is sending us some money monthly just to make sure, her younger brother need not take a job. She wants to make sure that we will be taking care of the youngest well and good. Well, may you enjoy all those horror movies lined up for the marathon. TV networks used to line this up, too. I am unaware of this TV network programming of shows these days anymore though.

so great to hear that you will have a nice holiday of Halloween in the coming days. I am also very excited to meet this festival, while I have to celebrate it ahead of time because the day when The Halloween comes, I have to work regularly and can hardly set aside time to enjoy. What is a pity.Hope you enjoy it.

Nothing! haha :) I'm not a lover of halloween parties and night even though i'm fascinated by those bloody dresses and cute looking pumpkins.. lol :D Talking about this event, our local zoo is supposed to host the event and it's done by students in the polytechnic, who has spent months preparing for it, and it's meant for their final year assessment. BUt the zoo decide to cancel the entire event just 2 months before it starts, wasting all the efforts. The only explaination given by the zoo, was complaints by people. But this isn't the first year the zoo is hosting it. So selfish of the zoo right?

Maybe they've got good reasons for canceling the show.

Their reasons is that, it's going against some kind whatever, together some some unhappy comments. But there are more pros than cons in hosting it, yet they chose to cancel it.

my son - buzz light year costume
i too am not excited for halloween, but that was before. last year we were invited to go to a party where we need to dress up or atleast our son has to dress up for the halloween. since our son is a person who does not love wearing hats... my wife decided that he goes at the party as Diego... go Diego go. my wife saw a talking bag of diego on ebay and she purchased that. well it was cool, and hard and battery operated. my son had a lot of fun. this year i might not be around for halloween for i need to go back at Japan but my wife bought a buzz light year costume already for our son and said that they will be celebrating halloween at the mall. it is a good way for us son to go out and have fun. i would be missing that... i upload a pix of my son.

That's really unfortunate. That's what's really sad about parents who work far. They often miss some things about their children. But at least you'll get to see him in pictures. On a side note, please take me and kei along to Japan!!!

I am busy watching horror thriller movie shows on every channel on cable tv.... i am too fanatic of horror movies, i really love and interested on horror movies... it's just only religion forced me negative thinking's about Halloween... but to my Yin and Yang beliefs, we need NEGATIVE ELements in order to live in balanced, not just only POSITIVE or we will collapse.... negative elements such as: sleep, rest, stop, fire, heat, horror, black, Halloween, down, shorter, cry, small... all of it are all NEGATIVE Elements and we need it in order to live in Balance... wow, i have so many beliefs to follows, because i feel everyone of them having a valid reason's why they enforced that way.....

I also believe in the balance of things and I would love to talk about it but that would be in a different discussion.

I have a phobia in indoor Spiders, especially those very fat hairy spiders that crawls on our house walls during 11:00 pm.... but i really love to buy spider's web during last week of October, those products that glows in the dark whenever i switch off the lights....

Not sure what we're doing for Halloween this year. Unfortunately our friend, with whom we always celebrated, has moved into a senors home. Sad, since his was the coolest house on the street!! The kids just loved him. We live in an apartment, so we always went to his place for the night, since there are no kids in this neighbourhood. We'll have to think of something new to do this year.

My little granddaughter stayed over on friday night and we painted mini pumpkins that I'll put out for decorations...we also made cutout cookies of bats, ghosts..BOO.....and pumpkins...she threw in a few tulips.leaves and hearts. And they are so tasty. Not bad for a six year old!

nothing much and it is not the same every year. but common thing we do is visit the graves of the departed loved ones. then go home and watch movies, not necessarily horror movies.

For me nothing in it because things would be better if don't celebrate by doing it you find false to worship the almighty God Jehovah he don't want to do the pagan of worship like that case.

We don't celebrate Halloween the traditional way but mark this date as preparation day for our visit to my father's grave. The time for sibling lunch and dinner all together and then proceed to the memorial park where my father is buried.

I am not into Halloween parties and trick or treats too. Everything on TV on that day will be horror! HAHAHAHA! Even the news and news casters will probably wear costumes and most in the news are horror stories! Couldn't wait for that.

I'm also looking for some good horror movies to watch for Halloween! I'm hoping I can get my close friends to have an overnight stay and we can watch horror films to our hearts (and withs) content XD Our office's a bit of a clamor preparing for the "Kids' Day". The kids will be trick-or-treating in our office and there will be small programs for them. I think the theme would be "Angry Birds" so we'll be transforming our office into anything related with Angry Birds. I'm not too happy with the theme (I voted for "Little Town of Horrors"). My friends and I also decided to visit a water SPA on the long weekends :D I'm totally looking forward to it :D Of course, since I came from a Chinese family, we're also preparing quite a number of things in preparation of going to the cemetery (we have a lot of traditions to follow when it comes to All Saints Day)

Sounds like a busy holiday for you, kei! I would have voted for Little Town of Horrors, too. It sounds more like Halloween than Angry Birds. But angry birds is insanely popular nowadays so it's understandable that it won as your office's theme for kids' day. ^^ If you found a good horror movie to watch, don't forget to recommend it to me.
