the cold season is up and coming, well not all but most of the countries the cold season is coming. in some countries there is even snow. i am not a fan of soups but when we are at Japan last december and it snowed around january you will really crave for hot and chilli soups to make you feel warm. there is no wonter in the Philippines so that is one of the reason i am not a fan of soups. since i love recipes with tomatoes, tomato soup is one of the soups i enjoyed eating in a cold weather. and since i am at Japan last winter their ramen with miso is one of the soups i enjoyed too. i am looking forward for another winter at Japan and sure will be craving again for hot soup.

Wow! You're in Japan??? I'm so jealous!!! Japan is the top country in my list that I want to go to.^^ I am not a fan of hot soups, too but I like hot soups when I'm not feeling well. I especially like noodles when I have a sore throat or tonsilitis since I cannot eat much hard and solid foods and soups are easy to swallow. During the rainy season, I like hot soups, too but not always. I like sinigang na baboy during the rainy cold season.

Wow. You've been there??? I so envy you!!!! It has been my dream to go to Japan! But they say it's so expensive to go there! If it's winter and I'm there, I don't mind slurping hot soups but I would prefer to drink sake!!!!

i guess it is true that it is expensive to go there, so lucky us that we are there not to spend but to work. can you believe that we can not go to mc donalds just because it is hard to communicate. har har har. but i tried to go buy myself one a few before we left. atleast i tried and experienced ordering for myself even it was not that easy to communicate. as far as i can remember i started a discussion about that. thanks again for the response hope one day you can visit Japan.

There is soup going in my crock pot right now. I love my house being filled with the smell. Its so easy to dump the stuff in and walk away. Tonight we are having an italian style soup with hamburger, tomatoes, celery, carrots, black beans and a variety of spices. Im getting ready to make up some quick rolls to dip it in. Fall always puts me in a soup mood.

Chicken/beef soup sound great to me during cold season. Having a bowl of hot chicken brooth mix soup every morning before going to work during winter month provide me warmth and sufficient energy for the rest of the day. Nothing can beat a bowl of soup in the winter, Cool!

Tomato soup is such a classic. I usually dislike soups that aren't tomato or chicken noodle, but recently I tried carrot and coriander soup and it was lovely! I've yet to try it again but I'd certainly like to. Are there any kinds of sweet chilli soups? I'd certainly love to try something like that...

welcome to the wonderful world of mylot llamacat. hope you like it here. i havent tried a lot of soup yet but it is new to my experience to crave soup on a cold country. i have never tired carrot and coriander. there are sweet and chili soups, i forgot what they call it but i tasted it on a chinese restaurant at Japan. it has a sweet inviting taste but it has also has the right amount of chili that will just make you feel warm on a winter day. thanks a lot for the response.
