Oh this is a fun one. First of all, cold readings can be used for a fun little way of manipulating. Depending on how you use cold readings, you can make yourself appear as a creepy stalker, or as a kind, gentle, caring soul, or as an all knowing superior creature with some type of magical power. Another thing you have to remember is that to manipulate a specific target, sometimes it's best to just spread a rumor to a few people the target knows, and let them slip it from one to another and eventually to the target. If you do it right, along the way, information about you starting the rumor can get completely lost, while still sending the information in the rumor to your target. This makes it so that the target never questions the accuracy of the information in the rumor and accepts it as truth. This can be helpful for various type of manipulations, including more involved manipulations in which you desire to add some preset conditions to your target or targets before introducing them to a conditional environment in which you can gain complete control over them. Simply put, people will believe what ever they want to believe, and are likely to believe what they are told without questioning it so long as they aren't given reason to question it. If you understand this, then you just need to find ways in which you set the conditions required to tell your target a piece of information without allowing them to find reason for questioning it. This is good for manipulating people into believing false information and acting out according to that. But getting somebody to rob a bank requires you to go one step further. In a case like that, where the target likely already has a belief that prevents them from doing that, all you have to do is create the conditions required to make them question that belief while you, at the same time, introduce them with information that suggests the opposite of their current beliefs is truth, while ensuring they are unable to question this belief. Sorry that my answer is so long, but I hope it helps. If you want, I can further explain this for you, or provide you with more examples. Just comment on this asking any questions you may have. Hope this helps!

You seem to know a lot about this subject. I get the sense that you have an evil mind. Do you work for Satan?

Wow, that's a little harsh! You are joking around right? Well, in case you aren't, no I don't work for Santa, I just know a lot about the subject because I used to live a less honest less desirable life style in which I got everything I could ever want but never was happy until I decided to stop treating man kind as mere matter and decided to actually treat life as something better than a piece a plastic to be used to somehow improve my life or to just be thrown away if there is no use.

Hard to admit it, but in my job I actually 'manipulate' people. I have goals and deadlines to meet, and if I don't manipulate the people I work with, there is no way I will meet mine. The only way to go about it is to really listen to people. And remember every detail about them. Most often than not, people would try to tell you the story of their lives if you give them a few minutes (well at least in my workplace, that is). And then, I use this little facts to get them to do whatever it is I need.
