Do you think? It is a good facility LCD TV work as Monitor

I have seen now LCD TV provided all facility like we can attach pen drive in it and we can use our TV as Monitor attach with CPU and work on it. What you think it is good we can use LCD TV as Monitor or any disadvantage of it. Do you have any experience about this and you are using your LCD TV as monitor. Share your ideas with fanta

Hii funny fanta in my house LCD is there but I cant use it as Monitor because my danger and sweet husband not allowed me to touch the LCD. They feel if I will touch it then it will blast 
. I also heard this in LCD we can attach the pen drive.

woooooooooo in your LCD TV is there why not use as monitor ohhh your husband not give the permission of touching your TV because they feel in your body current is there and TV may be blast

Hi Fanta!
You see now a days we can operate LCD/LED monitors, PC Monitors by connecting it with a cord.
It is always enjoyable to watch movies on LCD, using your PC/CPU. I have seen some movies and I enjoyed it.
Are you planning to buy one?

I think it should work well. Ask the dealer for your satisfaction.I would advice you to buy 20" LCD TV as it would be easy to use it as a monitor than some other big ones.
I am using TV card with my monitor and it gives some cool effect.

Hi fanta..
One of my cousin having such TV. And I guess surely its cool to have such. I mean we can use such TV for multi purpose. And yes using it as a monitor by attaching it to cpu is surely good. I mean computer with big screen would give great experience. 
So for me PLUS mark to it.

well, I have observed this one of the adventages of recent TV technology.. Besides changing from Tube to flat LCD TV, they offer lots of benefits like USB thumbdrive connection and also allowed computer attached so it acts like a monitor..This really working well for me, however most of the time we do not really need those large lcd as monitor..For me its too big and not really comfortable working with such big monitor like that..However, this is good idea if we are willing to use it for presentation ..we do not need any slide projector anymore..

Yes this is the advantage of new technology benefits of USB port we can connect any USB device. You are right it is very good to show the presentation no projector need.

I prefer to use monitor as my computer monitor rather than LCD TV. From article i read, there is some disadvantage to use LCD TV as monitor. When you use monitor, usually you will have less than a meter range. LCD TV don't have high resolution than monitor. And, you will broke your eyes when usually use LCD TV as your monitor.

both me and my gf can attach our laptops to our LCD tvs. but we only use it when we watch movies or videos on the net. but when we do it can be cubersome so we do not often do so. but we do not use it as a monitor for regualr use.

The LCD tv that can be used as monitor actually costs a lot more than a PC monitor.Plus you have just 1 tv to use your pc as well as watch tv channels.So i would buy a separate pc monitor with the saved money and get an ordinary LCD or even CRT tv.I would never use LCD as tv until they stop producing crt.

fanta,long back i started a discussion over the topic"internet is overtaking telivision"
i'll just highlight a glimpse of the discussion as now i don't have a link to that one.i was trying to emphasize on the fact that now many of our television shows and other movies are available today on internet and now we can watch them at our convenience.many of the lcd screens are now coming with an inbuilt device that aids you connect it to your computer system so that you can enjoy these videos and you favorite serial at a wider screen.
moreover i feel you can use it for other surfing purpose too.
