I recently tried to read a book from a book reader...I must say...I don't like them at all! When I read a book I like to highlight some lines of the book that make me think of something that interests me...and I can not do that in a book reader...But its not only that...With a book reader you can't touch the book and feel it...you can't smell it..And I think that these thing are important for a book lover!!!What do you say?

I think that is the biggest issue with book readers, it that well they are not books. If you love to read, the actual book, it's pages and smell add to the experience, being able to make notes and like you say highlight passages that mean something to you, is what make books amazing. On the other hand book readers are easy to carry, you have several hundred books in an book reader at any one time and they are available at a touch, whereas carrying more then say 5 books with you at any one time can be quite difficult. I am sure they will start adding features to allow links, highlighting and various forms of personalizing ebooks as time goes by. I think in a few years you may for instance read a book and then have a link to a site with the same scene from the movie adaptation to be able to compare the two. This is going to be an issue for years to come.

I have a sony ebook reader and actually it is possible to make notes on it, highlight things AND even look up the definition with the touch of a button. It has a notepad feature and you use a stylus to write.

Sorry you don’t like reading books from a e- book reader. I have been reading mine for quite a while now from a kindle fire and like it. If I have to go back to reading a paper book it will be very hard but I will do it because I love reading.

I don't own an electronic book reader, but I use my iPhone or iPad to read e-books. It is very convenient for me to read e-books. But I totally agree with you, real books are still the best. You can highlight the lines in the e-book reader also, maybe it depends on the reader. But for my iphone, I can highlight lines that I like and I can even bookmark it.

I agree with your opinion, but book reader also has a lot of advantages,it is convenient to carry and store a lot of content. If let me choose,I will not choose ebook too, because 'you can't smell it ',it's so important.
