Do you always care to your rating,your medal of honor,here in mylot?My rating now is 9,and I am striving hard to make it 10!

I do.I mean it is like our medal of honor here.Having a high rating means you are a good mylotter.It means people like you.It also means you can be trusted as a mylotter.It makes you respected.It is a source of pride.
My current rating now is 9,and I am striving hard to make it 10.
What do you do guys to improve your rating?I always post quality and helpful content as long as I can.I start useful discussions and comments back to responses to it.
How about you?

Hi friend... Today itself i got rating of 8... I don't know much about these ratings in mylot as i was very new.. Can you suggest me how we will get this ratings and what does the colors mean??

Our rating is like our grade here.The higher the rating the better it is.We are rated from one to ten.The lowest rating so far I have encountered is 3,and the highest is ten.It is like our grade in school.When the rating is higher it means we are working well.I hope it helps.:)

Different ratings has different colors.Seven is gray,eight is yellow,nine is red,ten is blue,etc.

Our rating is based on how other users rate us.Can you see the + and - sign beside other user's post?You should rate a post positively or negatively.It depends on you,but I think there is no sense in rating other user's negatively.You have a high rating because many users rated you positively.

hi ferbjohn yes I really do and one mylotter likes to take zingers at me for caring and I think I have as much right to feel that I like to have a good reputation as she does to make fun of me
publicly here. For one thing if we have 9 and 10 s the red and blue stars we make more earnings as our reputations and stars are figured into the mylot algorithm so its good to be high as we can get. so I do care and would love to once more have a blue ten.Could be this mylotter is crying sour grapes as she is stuck at 8 because she has a sharp tongue.i try to write as high quality posts as I can and sty away from religion and political discussions as people there can be really insulting and who the hell needs that. I come here to relax and not to get insulted.I try to make my discussions and responses always helpful too.

Oh yeah.Some users have very low rating because they are rude.We should aways try to be kind and respectful so we gain a high rating.It feels very good when my rating is high.:)

I used to care about my rating. Now I don' anymore. I have been chased by some trolls some time ago and made my rating like this. I think I've dropped as far as 7, I'm not sure, but now it stepped up to 8 because of some friends.

I never cared for my rating or medals in my lot. I am not here in the aim to earn more. I come here and participate in discussions if I really like that post. Spend time in my lot if I feel bored in classes. Other than that I don't have the intention to get those ratings.

hello john,
what i would suggest you that make more friends here and participate regularly in their discussions.if you participate more in their discussion,then they will also participate more in your discussion and then in turn will rate you.so it will work out that way.
and above all you should never forget to maintain quality of your post so that many get attracted to your post and give you a positive rating.

well its lot more easier when your numbers are low.imagine for people who have number in 4 digit or 5 digits.they have to work for so long to move up a single point.even though they deserve to be on blue,still they have got to stuck for long on red or yellow.

Don't bother much with the ratings.
We cannot assure that, someone who has the highest rating is a good mylotter or not.
Every one can rate you and even if you are doing good or responding/commenting good.
Just keep mylotting be active here.

When I was a newbie here I had no knowledge of so many aspects of myLot and one fine day I saw number 9 against my ID with hardly any posts. I was not excited at all as I did not know its value and within a few days the number came to 10. By then I knew what this rating was all about. Later I did post a topic and to counter that one user posted another topic having totally misunderstood the contents of my topic and despite trying to explain no attention was given to it and this users friends must have rated me negative that my star came down to 9. I am still struggling to get it up.

I rate the answers only when I remember, because I don't think it make that much difference. I know it's always nice to receive a best answer qualification, but I don't think it change that much your reputation here in myLot. I saw many regular and good mylotters with a low number star, so, I don't think it means that much.
