No fresh discussions, only feedbacks.

I have made up my mind that henceforth for a couple of days I would concentrate only in giving responses to feedbacks of topics started by me or responses given by me to discussions started by other mylotters but would not start any fresh discussion myself. Am I right in my decision?

That is a good idea. I like to catch up with myself here in MyLot also. I try and spend as much time as I can here, but I do use other sites and I do find myself not making much progress. But I keep on going. I should try that myself.

I think that this is a good idea because of the fact that people tend to take our discussions more seriously if we actually take the time to attend to the discussions that we've started. In fact, that is a lot of the reason that I don't start discussions all the time now because I really didn't have enough time to respond to everything that I'd been starting. It might be frustrating, but it all really does work out.

Right! I don't think there is a right or wrong as long you are following the guidelines. I don't spend much time writing topics anymore. I am so busy answering all my responses and discussions that I get. They are good just as long as I am writing something and getting my daily goals met.

It is really a comfort thing more so then it is if it is right and or wrong decisions. Responding to others does help to get to know members as many of us do enjoy sharing about ourselves through interactions. I do hope you enjoy interacting with the others as this will allow members to remember you and be apt to respond to your discussions when you start back up. Just aim for any discussions that really interest you and respond to them with the conversation mindset and you will see how much fun it can be. I do it daily here.

This is a good idea, for several reasons. Giving comments back and forth are easier to be made, and you can react easier to others' opinion on the same topic, than starting new discussions or responding to several others. And you will earn more, as the furthering of a discussion is highly appreciated and awarded here. I tell you this from my experience.

There's nothing wrong in your decision. Only you can tell whether it's working for you or not and whether you benefit from it.

I see more success when I mainly respond to discussions on here. My responses are much more in depth and way easier to type out. I often make discussions and forget to respond to everyone...Then I feel awful! However, with responding and commenting, I can put my word in without taking on the full responsibility of being the topic starter. It's a lot less stress and I find it much more convenient.
