What are your cats' favorite toys? Do they like the ones you buy for them or are they happier with the ones they find? Mine are all happier with the ones they find. They have two little mice that are filled with catnip and they like those okay but mostly their found toys are infinitely better. One likes the little plastic lids off of spray bottles and the other looooves pens. Any thin cylindrical object will do - drinking straws, we had a mini-blind wand (the thing you turn to open the slats?) that got broken...she played with that for a while - but mostly pens. Seems like every morning and every evening we can go through the house and gather up a handful of pens she's stolen from various places.

I had a cat who liked pens and straws and he really liked to stash them in hidey holes or under area rugs. Oliver, the black and white kitten in my avatar, is all grown up now, but just LOVES poofs, either the store bought cat toy or a craft poof. Several of mine will carry those around. Ronnie likes craft loops and several go for the hair loops. Taj loves rubber bands, especially if they are already attached to something, he loves to "snap" them! But toy mice and catnip anything are also great fun.

Hello crimson. We had two cats and never bought them any toys. They liked to play with those hair scrunches that the girls use to hold their hair back. They also liked the rings from cardboard milk carton. they also like boxes. After we lost them my granddaughter brought home another cat. She also loves to chase those scrunches and milk lids. we find them under the rugs. My granddaughter decided she needed a pirate's ship. The cat liked it alright all she did was pee in it so we got rid of it real fast.

I found my cat rummaging around in the recycle paper pile yesterday. She dug around a bit and made a bed out of it and was half in and half out of the plastic bag that I keep the paper in. She has one catnip mouse that she likes and will toss it and chase it from room to room. But her favorite toy is a long yarn string. I've made several for her with a tassel on the end. Of course, this requires me to be on the other end throwing it around for her. After about 15 minutes she will tire. She also likes to get into a large grocery paper bag. I dropped a twist tie that was around a leaf lettuce bunch the other day and then heard a noise in the other room. She was batting it around and had taken it into the living room. Cats can be so funny sometimes in what they choose to use as a play toy.

My cats have a cat tree where they climb and jump and use the scratch posts to chase each other around them.I think that there are a few ping pong balls left that i can find that the cats also love. They enjoy playing with my children more, one of my ragdoll cats play hide and seek with my son.The balls of paper that you screw up are also a great one, as one of my cats like to carry it around in their mouth.

I've found that our cats are the same way! I always buy them those catnip mice, those fishing poles, and various other types of toys...But they always end up playing with something like a hair elastic on the floor or the plastic part of a milk carton. I think it's because when you give them a toy, it's sort of planned out, but when they find a random toy to play with on their own, I think they feel sort of victorious cause they found it by themselves! Lol cats are just too funny sometimes.
