Nude lipsticks versus pale pink lipsticks

What are the best shades of nude lipsticks and pale pink lipsticks out in the market? They tend to wash me out! Help! How should I wear them?

I think it would mostly depend on your skin tone. Not positive, but I would think a warmer color pink would warm up your skin tone, and the cooler pinks would drain color. Even with light pinks, there is a lot of different colors in different hues. Here's a link to an article from Make-Up U.S.A. that specifically talks about make-up specifically for Asian women's skin tones. The right lipstick will make your face look natural and warm. One thing too, when you're checking out different colors, be sure and look at it under natural lighting (ask the clerk if you can take it by a window) and hold it up to your skin to see if it's a shade that goes with. The flourescent lighting that most stores look will never give a true vision of what that color actually looks like for real. Also, if you go to a more expensive store, they usually have those mini color samples of lipstick. You can usually get the samples and not have to buy it right then, say: "I'm taking it home to try the correct color." You can always buy the right one at a less expensive store later on, and take the sample with you to match it up at the store. I have a lot of yellowish cast in my skin, so I can only wear lipsticks if they are more on the peach side than true pinks. http://www.make-upusa.com/tips/asian.htm
