Hello Guys i want to know what is diffraction and why does light diffract?

there are plenty of them that lights getting disturbed by outside forces such as reflection, deflection, luminous, opaque, etc....
and mistakenly seen as a GHOSTS....
never trust the eyes.....
my answer is out of topic anyway, but it is one of the reasons,
as Happy Halloween.....
