Newcastle continued their excellent form this season by winning 2-1 against Everton. This win takes them into third place, one point behind Man United. Man United managed to beat Sunderland 1-0 on the 25th anniversary of manager Sir Alex at the club. Chelsea got a much deserved and an extremely hard fought 1-0 win over Blackburn thanks to a Frank Lampard goal. Arsenal continued their excellent form by beating West Brom 3-0 and Van Persie was once again in the goal scoring list!! Cheers! Ram

The fact which is the most important is that Sir Alex Ferguson has had this special anniversary. Hats off to him, and the officials of United who have had this confidence in this special manager. And I guess the team made him a nice gift, even if they won only with 1-0. As for the other results, knowing that City has also won, it was a weekend without surprises, and the people who have bet on all of the favorites made a nice amount I guess. It is nice to see how well Newcastle performs and that Arsenal begins to be the Arsenal everybody expected at the beginning of the season. My mistake, there was a surprise, the fact that Liverpool couldn't overcome a 0-0 at home.

I think the problem with Liverpool is that they are creating a lot of chances, but they are not taking these chances. Suarez should have scored a hat-trick, but he hit the post once and the goal keeper was in great form to keep his other chances out. This season, I think they might suffer for dropping these points against weaker teams. Cheers! Ram

Currently Mario Gomez is amongst the three most prolific scorers in Europe. First is Ronaldo in the list who scores 1.20 goals per game. Currently Gomez and Van Persie are together in the second place by scoring 1.08 goals per game. Cheers! Ram

That is why they wanted and still want Mario Gomez so much. He is the type of player who scores from almost every shot he has, although he has from time to time games where he just cannot score. But he needed only 9 shots to score 5 times in the Champions League, Messi who has scored the same amount of goals needed 15 shots. I know that Suarez is more skillful than Gomez, but the job of the central forward is to score, not to dribble a lot.

Well, Congrats again for Arsenal with amazing 3-0 win, again convincing win and performance by Weneger boys and Van Persie.United and Chelsea must struggle before winning their match.City has also struggle before finally beaten QPR by 3-2 and they keep position at the top of the table.I think the top 7 still changing and really interesting to see what happened next. Liverpool again unfortunate and held goaless draw by Swansea,I observed something wrong with Kenny's attackers in the last matches. So Van Persie manage to crawl up on the top scorer list.

I think it is time to start singing, "The Wenger Boys are coming" :). I think Liverpool are going to really rue the points that they have dropped against weaker opponents. Of course, the surprise package so far is Newcastle. BTW, Van Persie is on the top of the scorer list currently. Cheers! Ram

Yes, Arsenal are in the middle of a great run currently. They have won 9 of their last 10 matches. Van Persie has scored in 7 of these 10 games and that is really helping Arsenal. Cheers! Ram

Well, what a tremendous come back from Arsenal, they also able to maintain performance in both EPL and Champion League. In Liverpool case, they suppose to be more focus since only EPL and FA cup they played..I think they have bigger chance in FA cup..Maybe they should thinking about hire new players in january transfer windows.

Blackburn is one of the three bottom clubs currently. So there are not that good for sure. But they did battle hard on the day and Chelsea is right now having a wobble in their form. But anyhow, finally they managed to get something out of the game. Cheers! Ram

I think Manchester City this year seems to be the real deal. Also, they are bankrolled by millions of the Sheikh. So like Chelsea, they will transform into one of the bigger teams. Cheers! Ram

Please reveal the truth about the EPL. Did Spurs know that when they tried hard to be in the top 4? What about Manchester City this season? Will they be a waste of time too?

I think a lot of credit should go to Alan Pardew as well. He is brave enough to play with two forwards rather than going for defensive lineups. The strikers have responded to this confidence. Cheers! Ram

Yes, Arsenal has strung together a series of good results to move up the table. But they still have a lot of work to do for the rest of the season. The key to their success if Van Persie!! Cheers! Ram

Iv'e been a Liverpool fan since 3rd grade, but I really admire Wenger and Arsenal's attacking style. When Arsenal is doing good i'm happy. Just wish that Ashravin, Walcott and some of the younger guys would take so much pressure off Van Persie, who I must add has matured quite a bit as a footballer. I think he is into his golden years...

Yes, the Man U old boy gives a good gift to his ex-boss. Seriously speaking it was not a great performance by Man U. They were lucky to emerge with all three points. Cheers! Ram

Good win for the four clubs. Newcastle continue to defy all odds. Arsenal's recovery continues and finally they have a positive goal difference. After Man Utd's shock defeat to Man City, they have string two victories on the roll. But their victories is not convincing. Chelsea too did not convinced but after two defeats, any victory will be welcomed.

Both of Man U's last two wins have been very very dicey ones. But that is what Sir Alex has got into the team, to win even when they played badly. As for Arsenal, the final goal by Arteta had finally a trademark Arsenal move written all over it!! Cheers! Ram

Newcastle are the surprise package this year. I am impressed both with their ability to score important goals and their ability to defend. They have the best defensive record in EPL currently. Cheers! Ram

Manchester United didn't have a good game for Sir Alex's 25 anniversary. Nevertheless it is a win. Other top teams are all winning - some with ease and some a bit more work - including Newcastle. Van Persie is the man of the moment. Can Arsenal live without him?

Yes, it was definitely not a great performance from Man U. But they still managed to get all 3 points thanks to old boy, Wes Brown. Van Persie is definitely the man of the moment. Cheers! Ram
