Why Don't Children Clean Their Rooms?

Child - Being a child is one of the merriest day in the life of a person. A child seems to have no problem at all. They just want to laugh, cry, play, and smile.

They say it is just natural that many children do not like to clean their rooms. Me too, when I was young, I hate to clean my room. I was just too lazy to do it. My dear friends and fellow mylotters, how about you? Do you clean also your room when you were a child? Why do you think children do not like to clean their rooms?

I know that I didn't like to clean my room when I was a little girl and now that I'm a mother with two children of my own, I also observe that they don't like to clean their rooms either. The reason that they give me why they can't clean their rooms is because it isn't any fun. I guess children think that everything that they do in their lives should be all about fun and that isn't the case at all. I'm still constantly harping about them getting their rooms cleaned and I am serious when I say that if I have to do it myself the majority of their stuff is going to be going to the trash.

I have never like cleaning anything still don't to this day and I'm 23 years old. Kids don't like cleaning because its boring no body makes it fun. As a mom of a young child I try to make cleaning a fun thing for my daughter as she gets bigger. When I was teaching if you did something fun and creative kids loved to cleaning it gets done faster. My nephew he loves to clean and he is 4 years old. He is also autistic so he likes clean it makes him upset some times when things are messy especially himself. You tell him to clean up and he is right up on it picking up things.

Listen this. My young brother is 25 years old and he's so lazy that although he isn't a little child, doesn't clear him room. This unless some guests come for him. But not only, leaves the kitchen dirty, and the task of cleaning it is always for others!

May I ask dear if now you already clean your room? Have you gotten over your laziness to clean your own room? I think many children or should I say young people do not really care to clean their room because they were not trained as a child to do do it. They depend on their parents or maid or older sibling who do it for them. But I know some children who have been trained by parents to clean their room and they become responsible enough to clean their own room until they grow old enough.

I never cleaned my room when I was a kid. I don't know of any child that does. But I am sure there are a few of them around. My kids always argue about that, but it is to be expected.

Yes, because our minds - back then - are so occupied with activities (kid stuff) and the passion of cleaning the room for a nice environment home is way OUT there! I mean, naturally people with like to stay in a peaceful and clean environment but TRUST me - when I was a kid I only go to my room to sleep - I was out the house all day long! This is a nice discussion by the way. It made me remember something back then. *Sigh.

Children have so much to do and tends to think that they are still very young to start doing something. I think the best thing is, if you want your child to start doing those tasks is to teach them to do those things when they are young and as they grow up, they become much independent and can do it without much problem.

When I was young my mom already taught me to be organized so in that young age I already was cleaning my room on my own.I started doing it since I was six.I always put my toy in the box after using them.I always wanted everything to be organized when I was younger.I also kept my toys clean and didn't destroy them.I cry when my toys get destroyed.lol.I didn't like to play toys with damages because I always wanted things to be perfectly presentable. But I think I have changed a little now.My room is now no more as presentable as it was when I was younger.:)
