Do you support slutwalk marches?

Well,i read an article about slutwalk marches that happened in my country a couple of months back and digged the concept behind this movement. It started in Canada in response to a statement from the police commissioner about the kind of clothes women should avoid. Had been movements around the world and been supported widely by the public. In my opinion the kind of clothes "she" wants to wear is a personal choice and doesn't bother me. Does any one here think that women should avoid wearing revealing outfits?

I'll thank you to avoid slandering Canada in your Posts. I'm a proud Canadian, born and raised in Canada almost 80 years ago, and have never heard of a Slutwalk March taking place in Canada! Canada is one of the few countries in the world where its legal for a woman to go topless in public! So there is absolutely no question as to whether Canadian women are free to choose any costume they desire, and therefore, no need for a Slutwalk March such as you describe!

Well, based on the name alone, i am very much behind this movement. I personally don't feel like there are enough "promiscuous" out there, and if the government wants to oppress some women into becoming provocative, then i am all for it.

Dress as you want? Sure, as long as you realize that is only the first step. If you dress like a loose girl, you will be treated like one. People (even the liberated ones) will impose that standard. Besides, a true slutwalk would require knee pads.

I dont know much about these marches but I think that if this is how people feel they can reach people on thier clothing views it shouldnt be looked at as a bad thing. I think women should be able to wear whatever they want to revealing or not as long as it covers everything and is meant for thier body type.

WELL WELL WELL vishal..for as many years as I am old..I have not heared of theses slutwalks...I must say that its very very interesting that you mentioned that it a movement all around...I live in one of the biggest cities in the USA and haven't had the displeasure of observing this movement...probably because it absurd as far as I feel...bur once again its just my opinion..I trully feel people should be allowed to wear whatever they want...of course it my not fit or look proper but who are we to judge them...there is probably something about us that they don't like either...I believe in letting people be and wear what ever they want...because I am sure gonna do just that.....

I don't know in which city you live and if you live in one of the biggest cities in states then definitely there would have been a march. The reason i started this discussion is that i believe everyone has the right to do what they want. I am not even bothered if the women on the street is going topless or showing her behind, it's her choice. I am just saying do what you want.

I would have to agree! Women should be allowed to wear anything they choose but I don't agree if there are men that are choosing this apparel as well, lol. Women should have the right to wear revealing women's clothes but men should not have the right to wear revleijg women's clothes! For real, though! I guess you could say I do support these slutwalks then.
