Do you, or have you always kept a planner? Do you find it useful to have one or you don't or are not inclined to keep a planner? I have always wanted to keep a planner, or to finish the whole year with plans, etc... often though i am not able to continue. I plan to next year and will be meticulously find or have started to source out the kind of planner that i want. =) I guess that I would really do it this coming year and i am excited! =) I have received suggestions, Paulo Coelho's moments 2012 planner, twin stars or hello kitty planner, the BDJ, Starbucks planner... Ahhh I am excited and i guess Its going to really change my life, somehow! :D

I have never tried to use a planner. I always receive a planner in the beginning of the year but I never used it. I am not good in planning ahead, because I tried once and it usually not happening at all. There is always a change in the schedule and most my travels are unplanned . But now that you mention it, I did not know that there is a Hello Kitty planner. I love Hello Kitty! Maybe I will be able to plan if I use Hello Kitty .

i got a planner from my previous work too, but i only got to fill it up with work stuffs and work to do stuffs. this year i would be using a planner that i will personally buy for my personal stuffs! :D aha i will use it as a trip down the memory lane... to write things that i appreciate about the day, and so on. :D haha maybe you can check out, there are a lot of sanrio planners too... its hard to decide which one, but they looked so cute i doubt if i would write anything in them hihihi

That is nice! I never thought of using the planner like a diary. It sounds cool. I only tried to use mine with boring stuff lol. Lol you are right, it's going to be hard for me to write anything in the Hello Kitty planner. Such a waste. Maybe I will not be able to use it, and will just store it in my cabinet together with my other Sanrio collections

No. I don't keep any planner, I only plan about it when I am sure I will be able to do it. It would just be a waste of time in my case.

=) thanks Mashnn. Most people would probably find writing down things to do is a waste of time. =) but i guess it depends. for me i find it as something that helps me detoxify my self, my thoughts, when i write them down i realize i am able to share it even to a piece of paper and i feel better

Do you manage to accomplish or fullfill the that you have written. If you do, then it good for you. My problem is that I don't think I can keep to the plan. I like changing things so much according to the urgency and needs.

i don't keep a planner at all. my life is so irregular that i can't predict what is going to happen to me tomorrow. i take whatever comes my way in a day to day basis. long term planning for me would be a source of disappointment and frustration. what i do is record some memorable events that happened to me in a huge calendar. i just make notes or "smileys" or "crying smileys" right beside the date to remind me of a momentous event that happened on that day.

=) thanks for your response. we all have and well sometimes we would find it rather impossible to make it through the day muc more put everything down and just basically fill up our planners. But my plan is to fill it up with good memories that i would be happy to read about. :D

I use to have a planner but I don't think that I ever had a day where the things I planned happened. There is always something or someone that makes me adjust my plan. I do have like to do list. Every New Year, I list 13 things that I want to do or accomplish before the end of the year. My goals are not really that big, some of it are but like the book that I read said, "The key to happiness is achievable dreams."

i am not a good planner. but i like doing something new, and find something chalanging. that is me. too much thinking is not good, just think once or twice, and then do it, do the best and never give up

I'm not a planner type. I prefer following my feeling to planning something. I never thought long to get something. If I want something soon, I won't wait long. I usually always failed in following or doing my plan that I specify. I did not want to fail, so just did it. Things come up in mind spontaneously. Thank You.

thanks for your response. :D many people do not like to write things and or to plan things - i guess that is because they are more of the sponteneous type.

I used to keep a diary. But i noticed as i would reread them, that it would always have some lonely moments. So i junked it instead to contain only happy events. But then, Mylot took my time away from it.

I used to keep a planner, but I haven't really done it as much lately. I'll sometimes buy one and start it, but I never follow through. I really should start keeping one again. I used to use mine for todo lists and weight tracking, but now I track my weight on my blog so I don't need one as much. I still need one for todo lists though. I have an awful memory.

I always have a planner with me annually and I make good use of it. Only one planner is enough :P I always put my notes and schedules in it. It's very handy whenever I head out for a vacation or trip with my friends that's why I choose small, compact planners most of the time

Hello chiyosan! I love keeping planners as well even though I don't have much daily activities. Logging in your day to day plans and activities is just so fun to do plus you somehow get to organize yourself :) I personally like the simple ones from Papemelrotti :)

thank you girl for your response. I have always written on simple ones, mostly those that have no dates so i would not mind skipping. haha but i guess i won't want that for the coming year. this time i want a planner so i could discipline myself to start on it and finish it =)

Yes, I do! But it's not a book planner, it's in a calendar form where there are empty boxes to represent each day of the week. I fill in the dates and the task i want to accomplish each day. For it to be something I won't forget, I paste it on my wall, so whenever I look at the wall I see it and I remember the things I wrote there for me to do. I've accomplished many things then. The planner was a gift from my friend, she knew I like planning things and checking tasks whenever i finish them. it feels good to me. I wonder if others are like me? Little things like that can change your life, i believe.

I tried having a tangible planner for a couple of years, but each time, by year's end, when I looked back, I haven't really written much in it, so now I'm just sticking to planner applications on devices that I almost always have with me. It seems less personal (believe me, I'm a sucker for handwritten stuff), but it's more practical in my case. I'm sure everyone has his/her own preference. Good luck on your decision-making! That's a fun thing to decide on. :)

I started using a planner as an assignment / project for my Principles of Management class. Our professor made us get a planner of our choice, it can be big, small, thick, colorful, as long as we'll write in it. I bought a standard notebook sized one with 1 pay for each day, so it's like 1-inch thick. Here's how I started being a "planner": I started noting the subjects in which the professor gave us an assignment and the due date. Whenever I'm bored, I try to remember what I ate for breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, etc and simply wrote it down. I also noted my daily expenses and how much money I have at the end of the day. I have a son, so I sometimes write his funny milestones and quotes his sentences. Sometimes I also write quotes by our professors during lecture, like, "Time is circular like the clock on the wall. For me it a line from left to right because you cannot get back one second of your life again." I haven't seen the Paulo Coelho's planner, but knowing the author it can be good and inspiring as well. I've had 2 BDJs, yes the coupons are awesome but it can be too heavy or the design is a bit much for me. I think you should look at all the planners being suggested to you before you buy. consider the binding of the planner because it must survive for a year, a spring binding is not advisable because the paper gets ripped off easily. Sorry for the lengthy response. Hope I helped.

Well, I don't really need to keep a planner around to use. I think that I have a pretty good memory on stuff. There are times that I have forgotten to do stuff and wish I wrote it down. So if I have anything important to do currently or in the future then I would write it down on a piece of paper so that I will remember to do it.

I have some general goals in mind for the next year, but I am prepared for things to get thrown off the tracks rather quickly. Life if nothing else is going to be rather hectic. There are just going to be many times where I am going to go in there with a plan but the plan is really going to be lost more often than not. People who stick to strict plans without any room for flexibility whatsoever I think are asking for a little bit of trouble. There are just going to be many times where I just set my goals. Sometimes it is going to be a lot of smaller goals really shaped into a much larger goal. Yet in the end, there are just going to be many times where I might get off of the track. Of course the same end result could still happen but the path is just really going to be changed very much. So not so much of a plan but I do have some goals that I'd like to accomplish in mind.

I decided to keep a planner, or better plan 2012 at the start of that year. I think it's always good to have plans, to work to make them come true and to have something to look forward too.

Well, since I'm an adept college student and I take quite a few of leveled classes, I depend on the use of a planner to keep track of cerain assignments, projects, quizzes, and approaching tests. In your case, I don't use the planner for the same type of events but I do employ the same idea to keep track of future events! Planners are very useful in providing rememberance and concrete evidence of due dates and deadlines!

I use my phone as a planner. It's very helpful and it serves as a guide of activities to make you fruitful and productive everyday. I also just bought myself a sort of calendar where I can put my activities on it but I'm still to lazy to write something on it. May I ask, where do you buy Paulo Coelho's planner? I'm kind of interested in it. ^_^
