Does anyone feel sorry for Meg Griffin?

Everytime I watch it I always thinking poor Meg. Meg is treated mostly unfairly by her family and like she didn't exist. I recall an episode where Meg walked in and said "hi dad" and Peter shot her. It is just as bad for her in school and nobody likes her except for that nerdy kid. Which brings to my next question, has anyone been treated like a black sheep in the family or know someone that has been treated that way?

Even though it is a cartoon, I do kinda feel sorry for Meg. Everyone is always picking on here. I know the cartoon has kinda made her the butt of their jokes, but sometimes they go a little too far.

Oh yes, the episode where Meg goes to prison. Then comes back and seems to get revenge on everyone. Brian seems to be the only one that is nice to her.

I have a hard time feeling anything for a fictional cartoon character, especially knowing that she is being voiced by Mila Kunis, who is gorgeous and probably can't related to that character at all. I do love this show though, and I certainly hope nobody's parent has shot them after entering a room and saying 'hi', although if they were as crappy as Meg I couldn't blame them.

Yes you are right, she is the voice of Meg Griffin. Even though she is just a cartoon character, it still made me wonder how many people can relate to her in since that how she was treated by her family and her peers. The sad reality is some children do experience favoritism meaning that their sibling gets treated better than they do. They are often ignored whenever they do have problems. You are right about that last sentence but you said if they were crappy as Meg you couldn't blame them, that was cold.

lol, obviously I was kidding even meg doesn't deserve to be shot just for saying 'hi'. She is just a fun character to pick on.

MrsBone344, I was actually the "thumb" in my family. My experiences growing up in my family set the stage for the rest of my life up to now. I use to resent my lot in life but eventually learned to turn my lemon filled life into swet lemon-aid. I am still a work in progress and getting stronger everyday. Yah, I'm a Meg Griffin, I suppose, but with a happier ending.

Well, we have to be reminded that it is just a cartoon show and Meg Griffin (As in Mila Kunis) is super hot!!! Okay, back to the topic, yes. Do you remember the episode where she gets mumps and she tries to find an explanation on why's she's how she is? I felt bad by Brian's last sentences about Meg.

Sadly I know this one, while I haven't been shot in the face, I'm a black sheep of my family. All of the characters, including Meg who we can all relate to in one way or another in the sense of everyday life happenings.

I feel like I have been the black sheep of my family. I am ignored once inwhile, forgottan about and never was popular in school. I never been treated as bad as Meg,who I really feel sorry for! I was always seemed to be blamed for things that went wrong when I was growing up! By my dad who is a jerk! So I can see some of myself in Meg Griffin!
