The dreade Dentiat!!

So I went to the dreaded dentist today to get my teethe cleaned and she said she was going to do it in 4 sections one by week then this other girl in the office tried to get me to ger the whole thing done! I said no because that's expensive we already had a deal! And then I was scared because I have a fear of needles and I asked I am going to have to get shots in my mouth? She said yes because this is a deep cleaning! So it all went well until the last shot! It hurt so bad I cried and the lady said why you crying? Well duh!!! It hurt like he double hockey sticks!! I am so not ready to go back 3 more times! But I know it is just one of those things that has to be done! I fell like a kid! Crying and not wanting to go!! Do you fell this way even though we are older now?

Teeth are a pain when you've got them and a pain when you haven't! Mine have always been very sensitive. Going to the dentist is also horrible for me because I don't like hands in my mouth or the claustrophobic feeling I get when I need bits and pieces shoved into it! I also don't like lying back and prefer the way it used to be when we just sat upright. As far as I'm concerned, dentists are just a necessary evil!

Yes they are important to us I agree I just wish it didn't have to hurt so bad!1 Ouch!!

Ouch I feel your pain. I like going to the dentist as much as I like being stabbed. Hate it!! On a recent visit I told the dentist to hold off on the shot. He did a filling without the Novocaine. It felt awkward but I was able to get through the ordeal. I am so happy when they tell me I just need a regular cleaning no Shots. I've had deep cleanings before and I ball my fists and be ready to punch somebody when they stick that needle in my gums. I wish visiting the dentist wasn't torture.
