If You Could Volunteer?

If you were offered the opportunity to go somewhere and volunteer for three months - all your financial and family commitments would be taken care of - what would you do?
Would you pick something you think you'd really enjoy doing or would you go where you thought there was the greatest need even if it wasn't the cause closest to your heart?
Have you ever been a volunteer where you lived where you did the work and were totally immersed in it?
Would you like to be involved in a small project with just a few people or something big with hundreds of other workers?
I think I'd be best in some kind of conservation project, a replanting scheme or monitoring and recording wildlife. I'm not much of a people person so I think I'd get more done with that kind of work.
What about you?

I volunteered for the Wolf Recovery Fund years back and really enjoyed it. If I could go somewhere and help out it would be to the foundation in California that takes in hurt or injured animals. I can't think of the name of the place but I remember seeing it on a Jack Hanna one day.

When I was younger I was involved in voluntary work in Eastern Europe. In worked in two different homes for adults with special needs. I will always remember the time at I spend at those place and I would like to do it again. If I was going to volunteer again I would choose a home for people with special needs again or another place where I would be able to work with people like an orphanage or a shelter for homeless people. I really like working with people, and I would definately choose a place where I would be able to work with people in one way or another, but I would also be open for other options than the ones I mentioned.

Hi hvedra: I think that I would chose for doing volunteer an activity that I could enjoy and help people at the same time because in that way I'm sure I will make my best in my work so the results would be fine and the experience would be memorable for me.
