The fulltime Indian captain finally gets some rest. And this time its Viru gets the captaincy. As Dhoni is the Wicket keeper, his job will be handed over to Partiv Patel. Praveen kumar and Vinay kumar returns to ODI squad, also with Varun Aaron and Umesh Yadav its now a 4-men pace attack. Sachin, Yuvi and Harbhajan are some big names not playing the WI ODI series. The team is like this: Virender Sehwag (capt), Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Parthiv Patel (wk), Ajinkya Rahane, Manoj Tiwary, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Varun Aaron, Umesh Yadav, Rahul Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Vinay Kumar The squad is only for first three ODI's

I think Dhoni will be greatly relived with the selectors decision to not to include him in the ODI series against West Indies. Actually he was requesting to the selectors to give him rest for quite a long ago, but selectors didn't heard his voice. Now he is been rested and the captaincy is given to Sehwag. As there are not big names in the squad this team is also well composed of youngsters and is a golden opportunity for them to display their talents. Let us hope that they will do it well.

ya Dhoni has been playing continuously for a long time. Its a needed rest for him. but now India losses good keeper also. No one rate his good keeping job. Its said that If a keeper is unnoticed then he is doing his job neatly Hope that Partiv will do that good job neatly.

I think for a change it is a very sedate decision by BCCI. I think it is important that these players are fresh and ready to go before the Aussie series. So now they can put their legs up and start afresh during the Aussie series. Cheers! Ram

ya thats right, we need and fresh and full strength team against Australia. And its also a good opportunity for youngsters. Its good to have good bench strength like this. Zaheer is another who is not in the list, but hope that he will come in Australian series.

I think India would be the favorites in this series. So it is good to blood in the youngsters anyway. I think the real big series of this season is going to be the Australian series down under!! Cheers! Ram
