Which blogging platform to use?

Hello mylotters! I am starting this discussion to get more insights about blogs. You see, I am planning to start a blog that I can update from time to time and gives me the benefit of being an outlet for things I want to share and get compiled in just one site. I know that there are so many platforms and websites that offer some really good plugins, designs, layout and services like blogger, wordpress, typepad, and so on. What I would like to know is which blogging sites offer the best avenue for me to start my own blog, something that I can call my very own. I would really appreciate it if you can share some really good insights and experiences with any of the blogging services out there.

That will always depend on you. I am having all wordpress.org, wordpress.com and blogger. All of them are user-friendly, easy to use and offers almost the same as what others have. But if you are planning to join a free one and monetize it you can use blogger as they already have the tab there that informs you how to do it.

I just want to ask what's the difference of wordpress.com and wordpress.org? Which one is better? I read somewhere that there's also wordpress, and i'm getting a little bit confused. Are they all free? Which is more user-friendly among those you mentioned?

It all depend what is your purpose of you blogging and if you have a budget. If you do it is best to self host your blog because then the content would be owned by you. If you realize for all the free platform your content is own by the provider and they reserved the right to remove it.
But if you are just testing out, actually it does not make a difference, you should test out and see which one you like.

Blog is just a website, it is for you to post what you want to write. Making money from blog is always a dream for a lot of people. However it would not be easy in the beginning but once your blog become popular, the money would follow. I am not making money yet but I have two website for you to view. if you wish let me know. I can somewhat promote my site. hahaha. But sometime you need help from friends to get get started.

I use blogspot that is a great blogging platform. I dont use designs and layouts though I use html, its pretty hard at first but it gets easier and there are many tutorials for it on youtube. Once I learned I was able to make the whole entire blog the way I wanted it, the only thing that blogspot puts on your blog is a tiny search bar at the top besides that the whole page is yours.

I have been blogging for almost 5 years. I have like 3 blogs but since I work in a very demanding nature I find it difficult to update now.
I've been using blogger/ blogspot. This is the best ever for a starter blogger. The platform is very much friendly user. All gadget and plugins are included free of choice.
I tried wordpress before but it is quite difficult to start for beginners. According to many bloggers wordpress is better but I still use blogger.com and I bought my own domain.
Try to check which you thin is better for your blog. Yuor layout and platforms will enhance your blog and catch more readers to come by.

So far I have only used blogger for blogging purpose. And I am having good experience with them so far. I can't tell you how good are others as I never went for them. But surely blogger is just perfect for starter and quite easy to manage the things too.

Actually there are many blogging sites are there where you can choose from. I'm using blogger.com in my blogging. I have one blog. I can change the template of my blog whenever I want to in order to customize it. There also many free and available blogger themes. I recommend that you use blogger.
