Cosplay have been in the rave today, Wherever you go to from Asia to the US, the world knows what cosplay is. As a matter of fact I too am a cosplayer, I am from the Philippines and it is for me a very FUN hobby. I get to make props and costumes of my favorite Anime or In-Game Character that i would want to portray and be that person. Many conventions and events are initiated here in our country for this kind of Hobby. The only sad thing about this is that it's a somewhat expensive kinda hobby. How about you? What are your views about cosplay?

Hello there fellow Pinoy, :D I loled at one of the tags: COSTplay. TRUE THAT. Very costly hobby. But I do say it looks fun and interesting. I always wanted to do a cosplay, since I started watching anime. Though, I don't have that enough money, creativity and knowledge that kinda, made me lose my motivation on trying. If I did have friends who were cosplayers, I wouldn't mind joining them just for the fun and experience of it.

where are you from fellow Filipino Mylotter! Maybe you and I live nearby. It's nice that you got motivated to cosplay from watching anime series, It's not that costly, you can just modify some items accordingly to the character of your choice, Dont lose that motivation! for me what's fun about cosplay is the joy that you feel presenting the character, and being able to pull it off with such low budget and being economical at the same time. I bet you that if you can cosplay even if just once, i know that you'll get that kind of feeling that you'll wanna do it again and again. Its a really fun and worthwhile thing to do!

Cosplay is a very fun hobby indeed. Cosplay is expensive but there are ways to minimize cost . Just be creative and I am sure you can figure out ways to lessen the cost for cosplay . The internet is also your friend try visiting and knowing other cosplayers . Ideas run best when shared.

I second that notion! There are ways to be creative in your cosplay but with less expense! you just to be witty with the items that you use.

I am a cos-player and I have fun doing it. I get to plan and make my costumes and its a great feeling having people admire them. At one anime convention in Baltimore MD: Otakon, i had a little girl get so excited and happy that I was Megpoid Gumi. That makes the hard work worth it.

I never had a chance to attend another cosplay in my life. The last cosplay I saw was unexpectedly were just dropped by to Robinsons Place Manila. Is there a chance I will be updated in advance? Since you are a cosplayer? I am from Philippines too.

COst playing I think is a very expensive hobby. You need to buy each item you'll be using to look just exactly like you favorite anime heroes. SOme people are willing to spend huge amount of money just to do what they like doing and there is no wrong about it. At the end of the day, what matters most if how you feel about your self when wearing those anime costume you bought.

Yeah i think so too that it is rather a very expensive hobby, I try to take less burden from the expenses by making the props myself rather than buying it online or sewing clothes myself rather having it tailored. For me i try to go with my passion while at the same time not spending too much of my allowance. And i definitely agree on what you said about what you feel for yourself when you wear the costume. I think that's what matter most as well. The lil point of self gratification.
