A determined India openers, Virendra Sehwag along with Gautam Gambhir, provided a great run feast in fourth O.D.I. being played at Indore between India and West indies. The two established openers chose to come together for the first time in the series and were determined to end their run famine and put India on strong base towards winning the match and series. They put on 176 runs in just 22.1 overs at an amazing 7.7 runs per over before being separated, Gautam Bamghir being run out through a direct throw from Samuels. Virendra Sehwag is still batting at 161 of just 117 balls and Raina, who is another batsman without runs in this series, on 39 scored of 34 balls. India seems destined to put up 350 plus score on the easy fast paced pitch of Indore.

150+ runs partnership from shewag and gambhir was killer for west indies. They make up the runs they didn't made in previous matches. Shewag double hundred is bonus

This pair, the way they played, looked determined to make amends for their earlier lapses and lack of runs in the series. The run out of Gambhir separated the two. That was the only way looked possible for the separation of the pair.

Forget 350... India ended up with a score of 418 for 5. Sehwag was of course the main reason for the score with a superb double hundred. So he becomes the world record holder for the highest ODI score. So the top two scores in ODIs are by Indians now. Cheers! Ram

Hi ram, It is an amazing innings from Sehwag as only he can play. Tendulkar's record was always in danger of breaking as long as Sehwag was still playing. He richly deserves this record. This score is definitely out of reach of this West Indies side.

I also think that India will score about 350 plus runs against west indies. I think this is great enough to defend against west indies. Most probably India will consider the 4th ODI to uplift confidence for the matches between Australia.

Thank you wonderboy. India have already scored 418 runs in allotted 50 overs at 8.36 runs/over. This will be too much for this West Indies side to make. They have already lost their opener Powel in their run chase. They are at the moment 51/1 in 8 overs.
