This weekend Chelsea take on Man City in the match of the money bags. Both teams are coming with contrasting emotions from the Champions League. Chelsea are ecstatic to have reached the knockout stages as group toppers. On the other hand despite beating Bayern Munich, Man City have been knocked out of Champions League and will now play in Europa League. What are your predictions for this big match of the weekend? Will a resurgent Chelsea beat a wounded Man City? Cheers! Ram

It all depends on the mentality of Man City. If they are prideful , there will be a great game. But if they have given up, Chelsea will win 3-0!But if they come to play, it will be anoth one goal game. I can see Chelsea winning 2-1 or 1-0

I think the league is a complete different equation. City are on top of the league 5 points ahead of second placed Man U. So I guess they would not be giving up here. Cheers! Ram

I was right! 2-1 Chelsea!! I hope you got to see the highlights. There were way too many yellow cards but the match was exciting! This is the last match I will be able to see for a while . All the others air when I'm either at work or asleep.

I'm gonna go for a 3-2 to City both Manchester clubs will look to get wins this weekend to gain morale lost from the champions league exits. both bitterly disappointed and both wanting to get back to their winning ways asap.

Man Utd went on to win their match already. They thumped Wolves by 4-1 today. Rooney and Nani got themselves a brace each. Cheers! Ram

I think that there will be a good number of goals here maybe 5. I mean look at the players on show you have world class strikers, JT has not been playing well for Chelsea and the way they play the formation there just adapting to as well as the philosophy of their new manager. They were lucky to win against valencia but against Manchester city I think they will lose 3-2. I do not like either team as they try to buy success and pay players stupid amounts of money. But saying that look at Manchester city there starting XI and then Chelseas then look at their benches Manchester have a stronger bench. The main threat will be Mario and manchester CItys strikers, for Chelsea to win they need Mata to perform well along with Torres and Sturridge.

I think the second string of Man City would be better than the starting XI of most EPL teams. Yes, they have the best bench strength in the EPL. I think Drogba might get a start ahead of Torres for this match. Cheers! Ram

Yes, City would really be hurting from getting knocked out of Champions League. It will also hurt them financially. On the other hand, AVB would want to pull off a win against the big 4 teams!! Cheers! Ram

A match between two clubs heading in different direction. Man City on the way up and Chelsea heading south. Chelsea might have won their last two games with a 3-0 score, I don't think they are back. I do fear for them against Man City. As they say, a wounded animal is a dangerous beast. Man City might just take their frustration out on Chelsea. My predictio, a high scoring draw. 2-2.

I too fear for Chelsea on the long run. But AVB seems to have resigned to the fact that with John Terry in the team, he needs to play a more deeper line. He cannot play the free flowing game that Abrahamovic wants else they are completely exposed in the counter attack. Cheers! Ram

Hmmm... That's really hard to predict. It might be a 1-1 draw like the game between ManCity and Liverpool. Everybody try to not losing ground. 1 point is better than 0. As an Arsenal fans, I wish Chelsea will win. It will make it easier for Arsenal to close the gap with ManCity. I believe Arsenal can overtake Chelsea anytime, but it will be more difficult to chase ManCity.
