How does attitude defines your success? There are many motivational books I have scanned and read that tell how attitude connects to success. It is undeniable. But changing our attitude can be one of the most difficult thing to do. Before I get easily irritated, impatient and temperamental. I don't give a room to sarcastic co-employee , I don't care to people around me but as I became exposed to different kind of workplace it made me realize that I should change my attitude; that I should try to listen to unspoken thoughts and take part. Now I could say that I manage to be versatile. How about you? Was attitude became one of the things you want to change, why? Do you think it defines success?

I agree that a good attitude can help us succeed in life! We have to have the right attitude! It helps when we are versatile and have many friends, this is how we get to gain more knowledge and learn from other people as well. without other people, we would be lonely, distant and sometimes ignorant. Awareness is important! When you are aware of things, you become more active, when you are active you achieve more, if you have done many good achievements there is no doubt that you would succeed. In life we have to know how to give, be generous, share to others what we have, be sincere, know what we want, invest(not only financially but spiritually also) so that we would reap the benefits later in life!

Wow! What a wisdom! True! Awareness is important to interact appropriately. From the interaction you would gain knowledge and experience that will truly help you in the future.

I do not think that attitude is the sole factor in whether or not a person is successful, but I definitely believe that it does play a role in the success (or lack thereof) of an individual. A positive attitude is going to get a person a lot further in most aspects of life than a negative attitude. However, all the positive attitude in the world still does not make up for raw talent, intuition, knowledge, etc. - it is just one component, although I do believe that a positive attitude is a very important component.

Well said purple.. There are things that attitude can do for you but there are things that it can't do for you that knowledge, skills and talent can. Is there instances in your life that you rather choose attitude instead of success? I mean sometimes we are caught in between with things that we wanted and we liked to things that are rightful to do.

Oh yes, I can think of one instance right off the top of my head where I would choose a positive attitude over success. I know of a person that has money ... quite a bit of money actually ... but it is not enough for him. He is very worried about money and focuses a lot of attention and energy into making sure that he is always making money, but it is never enough - he has a very negative attitude towards life in general and never seems to be happy. I do not have money right now. It does bother me when I do not have money to pay my bills and get the basic necessities for my family. Other than that, though, it does not really bother me not to have much money, because that is not really what is important to me. I think that I tend to have a more positive attitude, which is why I do not care much about money.

Personally whether people want to believe it or think it or not, attitude does really define one's success. Because in life no matter what you are doing or where ever you choose to go, or what career you really choose to have you are the one in control. If you want to be successful in life, then you need to work at it. When you choose to work at it things happen and it is often worth the effort as well.

Indeed, your attitude is your fuel of your brain to control everything. A person may encounter darkness in life but with light you can turn dark into light.

Attitude defines your success because you won't be successful without positive attitudes. Like what I've posted in my blog, the success of a student will vary on the attitudes he has.

Hi kicysmile, nice profile pic.. Well I don't think that positive attitude comes first when you become successful already. Try to learn and establish positive attitude to drive you in the road of fortitude to success. You shouldn't welcome negative attitude. And yes, you are right when you have a great attitude you can face troubles in life with ease.

Attitude is really the key for a successful career that will lead into a successful life. One major factor that most individual will fail is due to attitude, people are so impatient and never contented in what they have. They become so sensitive to the success of their co-employee which and usually people have a crab mentality. In reality, I am still striving to be successful one day. Because of that, I am working in a productive way and hoping that I will have my patience all the time.

Tempers can tear a business apart. A bad attitude and still being able to succeed spells future problems. My attitude is ok. Because I tend to stay calm and treat people like they would want to be treated.

That's good maybe you could adapt easily. But have you heard a negative feedback from your co-employees? Well although we know that our attitude is okay but few people don't like us. What are the negative comments you have heard from them?
