Depends i really love italy, but depends what do you like? England is so cold and i love it too.

If you like sunny, pleasant and fair weather come to Europe in Spring which is from March to April or early summer like June to July. September is autumn but it can be pretty lovely too. I know you would like the mountains in Switzerland and Austria. You might like to see the Croatian coastline because it is stunningly beautiful. I loved seeing that combined with Lake Bled in Slovenia plus Montenegro. There are youth hostels offering dorm beds and if you take a tent you can camp at a camping site. Happy traveling.

Though never been there...Spain and Italy are the best choices..

It depends on the time of the year and your budget. Right now, Switzerland is great and you could visit the Alpes and go for skiing. Later in spring Venice is a wonderful place with beautiful and inspiring architecture and tha famous canals. Greek islands are perfect for the summer and also Spain is great.
