When the blood suply to the heart is blocked then it is said to be the heart attack. The heart suddenly stops functioning as a result of abnormal heart beat rhythm. We call it as "cardiac arrest." A heart attack and the cardiac arrest are not same. When a person begins to show the signs of chest pain, discomfort, breathlessness, giddiness, too much sweating, feeling lightheaded, uneasiness pain in the back, stomach, neck, or jaw can be the warnings of a heart attack. Usually mostly men are subject to get heart attack, but after the stage of menopausa women are prone to get heart attack. Most of the wome are the victims of heart attack than the cancer. Excessive grief or emotional stress may lead to broken heart syndrome and cause heart attack. obesity, high blood pressure, cigarette smoking, high cholesterol, and diabetes, may eventually lead to heart attack. TUsually the doctor prescribes aspirin to those who get the heart attack. Moderate food, moderate exercises and moderate activities keep the heart patient under control. But man fully knowing the principles of health often abuses his health.

I have a friend that survives in cardiac arrest the moment that it was hit him, he manage to go calm and ask his wife to massage his chest. On his mind he always said that "God please let me live, I wanna live more" And so after a minute he manage to survive and they headed their way to the hospital right away. After the incident he manage to change his lifestyle, all of his vices have been remove and he always eat fruits and juices for dinner and lunch. And now he is more healthier than ever

I also have a friend who suffered from heart attack and luckily he survived. From a sedentary lifestyle such as eating fatty and salty foods he now switched to a healthy lifestyle. He followe hid doctor's advice to exercise regularly and eat a large amount of fruits and vegetables by avoiding salty and fatty foods. As well as stopping drinking liquors and smoking. He said it was difficult at start but then he was determined because he wanted to live longer for his family and loved ones. And later on he got used to it. Having a healthy lifestyle combined with postive outlook in life can really change a person's overall wellness.. Now he was very happy for the big changes happening into his life.He was more active, confident, and lives each day without a fear of cardiac arrest.

Living a heathy life after the heart attack is very important to avoid another one so is important to follow these considerations in order to prevent another heart attack. Keep your blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol under control. Don't smoke. Eat a heart-healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, and low in animal fat. Get plenty of exercise, at least 30 minutes a day, at least 5 days a week (talk to your doctor first). Get checked and treated for depression. Limit yourself to no more than one drink a day for women, and no more than two drinks a day for men. Stay at a healthy weight. Aim for a body mass index (BMI) of between 18.5 and 24.9.

There are also people who always have a not regualar heart beat. They don't have a heart attack. Although it's a strange thing to discover the heart is "forgetting" to beat once in a while or more frequently. Heartattacks seem to run in to the family. Also stress is a big factor. More and more women, especially in western world where they have to do the housekeeping, take care of kids and husbands and have one or even 3 jobs to manage, get heart attacks more and more frequentely. Doctors seldom recognize this with women. There was always thought that this was a typicall male problem. so doctors be aware. BTW in African countries many women (and men) die from one moment to the other too without any sign of being sick before. Also here the cause is frequently the heart attack. People over there don't get older as 45. Moderate food, lack of excersise etc can't be the reason over there.
